I like [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is cute, but I only like it as a nickname for something.

[name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is great if you’re using it as a nickname, but I’m not sold on it as a standalone.

I like the idea of naming your son [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and calling him [name_u]Kit[/name_u], or naming him [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and using [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] as a nickname. But I’m not sure about the official name being [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]… that seems like it wouldn’t age well.

I love [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and have no problem seeing it on an adult. It’s playful but not silly.

I do know some adults with the nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] who go by it almost exclusively, so it’s not odd for me to imagine. It’s a sweet name. However it might not suit everyone and I would probably consider just Ted as a fn.

[name_m]Ned[/name_m] is less exciting for me. Nothing wrong with it but nms.

I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] would work as a stand alone name (although I like having a longer, more formal name like [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] or [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]) and [name_m]Ned[/name_m] also works as a full name in my opinion. I don’t really like the idea of [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] as a full name, since it just seems so much like a cuddly nickname for a little kid.
Of your options my favorite by far is [name_u]Kit[/name_u]! I love [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] or [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] called [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!

I like [name_u]Kit[/name_u]! I think it’s very cool and much more usable as a standalone name now due to the actor [name_u]Kit[/name_u] Harington (from Game of Thrones).

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_m]Ned[/name_m] if it’s for a standalone name. Both definitely cuddly and retro-cool, although [name_m]Ned[/name_m] feels a little clunkier (not in a bad way, just slightly edgier/more unexpected) than [name_u]Kit[/name_u] to me.

I like Ted as a full name, but [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is just too cutesy.

I voted [name_u]Kit[/name_u] because I like it best based on your description of what you’re looking for. [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is a nice name but I don’t find it at all cuddly. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is another great name, but perhaps a bit too cuddly. But fits the classic but modern description perfectly. And I love it with [name_m]Robert[/name_m].

I was really stuck between [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] and [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. I love both of them. In the end I voted for [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], I like it best with the full name [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] between that and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but if I was looking for a full name I’d pick [name_u]Kit[/name_u].

As a full name, I like [name_u]Kit[/name_u]. [name_u]Kit[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] flows very well. I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]!

[name_u]Kit[/name_u] I have loved for a long time. [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is growing on me and I’m beginning to love it. I can see [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and [name_m]Ned[/name_m] as stand alones,. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] not so much. [name_m]Just[/name_m] me though

My Grandfather’s name was [name_m]Clifton[/name_m], his twin was [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. They were called [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and [name_f]Cat[/name_f].This was back in 1920. [name_m]Clifton[/name_m] isn’t as Common as [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] can also be short for [name_m]Alfred[/name_m]. [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is often a nickname for [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] or [name_m]Edward[/name_m].
I like a formal long name like [name_m]Clifton[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. For [name_u]Kit[/name_u] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] and of course [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] for [name_m]Ned[/name_m].
