We’re not big on made up sounding names, but we’re stuck on the name Kiter for our son-to-be. Does this sound made up or corny? Please let me know your honest opinion.
P.S. Our alternate name is Brecken and our last name starts with a K.

I’m not a fan, sorry. Especially with a K last name. Your alternate sounds far more promising.
I think both Kiter and Brecken may not flow that well with a “K” surname. They would be very choppy. I would advise you to choose a name with no strong “K” sound in it. Sorry but Kiter does look like a made up occupational name.
I agree with the other posters. Kiter does seem madeup and I don’t like it with a K last name.
To put it simply I do not care for it. What about Ryder, Wilder, Mercer, Lorcan, Kai, Carter, Casper or Keegan? There re tons of alternatives with similar sounds. I don’t mind the K alliteration. I very much prefer Brecken but would definitely spell it Breccan. Kiter and the yooneek spelling of Brecken does seem corny, since you asked.
