What does everyone think of this little name?

I love the beachy, serene feel about it, and also that one of its meanings is “warrior” (a subtle nod to the 4 veterans in my immediate family!). It seems like a more unusual [name_u]Noah[/name_u] alternative. It’s simple, fun to say, easy to spell. It seems perfect to me, but it seems virtually unknown. What does everyone think of it?

I’ve been thinking of a couple combos ([name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Koa[/name_m], [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]), but I’m not set on anything quite yet. What MNs (or FNs?) would you suggest to go with [name_m]Koa[/name_m]?

It’s very intriguing. The more I think about it, the more I like it. It’s got a very cool, modern vibe.

Wow, I’ve never heard this name before, but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it!!! It definitely has that cool, serene vibe. SO beautiful.

I really like it, I’ve only seen it on a girl before (their was a [name_m]Koa[/name_m] on an Asutralian reality TV show) since it’s a Maori name meaning to be glad, joyful, happy, elated. it’s pretty unisex over here but I prefer it on a boy. [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] is my favourite of your ideas but I love the suggestion of [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

I like it a lot as a middle name, to complement another name. Not sure why I don’t love it alone/as a first. But I love what it adds to a combo, and being so short it works very well in 3 name combos. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_m]Koa[/name_m] is super handsome.

I think it makes for a handsome name but my mind immediately goes to Kampgrounds of [name_u]America[/name_u] aka [name_m]KOA[/name_m].

One of my combos is [name_m]Koa[/name_m] Leeu which is the Afrikaans word for lion. Another is [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u].

It’s fine, but to mean it suggests [name_m]KOA[/name_m], Campgrounds of [name_u]America[/name_u].

I was looking for names similar to [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_m]Koa[/name_m], etc. I have really struggled with combos though, [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is all I’ve got personally. From your list I like [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] the best.

Thanks, everybody! I didn’t expect [name_m]Koa[/name_m] to be so well-received. I love the idea of an “E” name with [name_m]Koa[/name_m], but [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] are really nice, too. I initially really liked [name_m]Koa[/name_m] [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], but now I’m not too sure. [name_u]James[/name_u] is a family name I’ve newly fallen in love with–he just seems perfect with everything!

You could always use [name_m]Koa[/name_m] as a special mommy nickname for [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. :wink:
