I’ve loved this name since meeting the cutest 3 yr old surfer boy called ‘Makoa’ who is called ‘[name_m]Koa[/name_m]’ for short. [name_m]Koa[/name_m] is a Hawaiian wood that is used for making surfboards. [name_u]Love[/name_u] that!
It fits with my love of one syllable names on my short list too such as [name_u]Kit[/name_u], [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_u]Van[/name_u] and has that beachy vibe.
What does everyone think? Is it too similar to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]? Or could it be just the name I’ve been searching for. Familiar yet unique.
I love [name_m]Koa[/name_m]! It really doesn’t suit the style of my other favorite names ([name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Grant[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], etc.), but I love that beachy vibe and everything about [name_m]Koa[/name_m], honestly! I would love to be able to use it someday. I think it works quite well with your other favorites, too!
I don’t think it’s too similar to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]–I think [name_u]Noah[/name_u]'s popularity is what will give [name_m]Koa[/name_m] a chance to shine. I would love to meet more Koas in the world!
I love [name_m]Koa[/name_m]! I’m a military brat and lived in [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m] for a short time, and think it’s such a great name. My husband on the other hand doesnt like it. "/
I love it. Actually one of [name_u]Sequoia[/name_u]'s friends can’t pronounce his nickname “Koia” properly and calls him “[name_m]Koa[/name_m]”, it’s cute. I love the beachiness
