I like it. It reminds me of [name_f]Kore[/name_f], another name for the mythological figure [name_f]Persephone[/name_f].

I do prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but I’m in an anglophone country; if [name_u]Kora[/name_u] works better where you are then I say go for it!

I quite like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but [name_u]Kora[/name_u] loses a lot of its attractiveness appearance-wise to me. However, if it works better for you, use that spelling.

Pretty name and I prefer [name_u]Kora[/name_u] with a K as well!

If I’m not mistaken, [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is of Greek origin and would have originally been spelled with a K.

[name_u]Kora[/name_u] ruins the classic, vintage feel of [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Would stick with the original spelling.

I like [name_u]Kora[/name_u], but prefer [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. :slight_smile:

I love [name_f]Cora[/name_f] in general, just because of the spelling. It doesn’t matter where you live. You can use either.

Also I hate [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] tbh lol

I’m not a huge fan of the name, so I don’t feel strongly about the spelling or how it looks. That having been said, I have experience with names across cultures. My husband and I come from two different language backgrounds and live in a third language country. When naming our children it was important to us to choose names easy for his and my families, but we basically ignored the third language, where we now live, because we know we will not live here forever. My point is, you are living in a non-English speaking country now, but consider if this will be your permanent situation when you actually do name a baby.

I said no to [name_u]Kora[/name_u] before reading that it’s easier for your language context. That makes a difference! The reason I said no is that it is a skincare brand and also seems to make it a beach-y name, whereas [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is a literary name.

I think it’s relevant that you’re in a different country. A lot of people voting or commenting here are coming from an American or British perspective. For them, [name_f]Cora[/name_f] looks more “right” for cultural reasons, but that may not apply for you.

I’m from the US so I personally prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. BUT I also prefer [name_f]Kiara[/name_f] over [name_f]Chiara[/name_f], so I can relate to liking a ‘K’ spelling that others dislike. I honestly think [name_u]Kora[/name_u] is lovely either way, and is completely usable. Not to mention, the show [name_u]Legend[/name_u] of Korra did very well here, so people have seen and accepted the name spelled with a K before. If you love the [name_u]Kora[/name_u] spelling, I say go for it :).

I much prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but if you like [name_u]Kora[/name_u] go for it :slight_smile:
