Honest thoughts on this name?
Not a fan. It’s not my style. [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] is a bit dated to me and I don’t like this spelling.
I prefer the C spellings generally, but I like the crisp sound of the name. I do agree it’s a little dated now though, but that could be a good thing as well as a bad thing. A little Kristel born now would be unlikely to share her name with anyone else in her class or school, for example.
This strikes me as such a @leafsgirl44 choice – maybe [name_u]Haley[/name_u] will have something else to add!
I’d prefer [name_f]Krystal[/name_f] or [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] but it’s a sweet sounding name
To be honest, I wasn’t sure if it was meant to be said like [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] or “Chris-tell”… I think if the former, I would spell it that way (or Krystal). If the latter, I see people above me assume it to be like Crystal, so that would give me pause
I love Kristel! (My preferred spelling is [name_f]Krystal[/name_f] though!) I had a lovely friend in high school with the name so it reminds me of her It’s beautiful, and quite rare nowadays - I’d be awestruck to meet a little Kristel at work!!
It feels kinda dated to me, but Kristel honestly feels more modern and fresh than [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] or Krystal, I can surprisingly see it working nowadays
I have a good friend named Kristal… so I see how it works but agree that nowadays it seems dated.
I prefer [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] and Kestrel.
I like Kristel. It used to be one of my favourites when I was a child.
I’d probably spell it [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] - unless I was looking to honour someone called [name_f]Kristy[/name_f] for instance.
