Thoughts? I know it’s “dated” but what do you think of the sound/look?
I think it’s okay, though I suspect it would get spelled as “[name_f]Kristen[/name_f]” a lot (because of [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m]), or mixed up with [name_f]Kirsten[/name_f] or [name_f]Christine[/name_f]. I personally would avoid a name that has a lot of different spellings or is very similar to other names, but that’s just my opinion.
I actually knew a [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] who ran into a lot of trouble with her name. She was usually called [name_f]Christine[/name_f], [name_f]Christina[/name_f], or [name_u]Christian[/name_u]. It suited her, though, but her troubles with it kind of taint my liking of it.
I like the name, but I prefer the [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] spelling.
I like it, though [name_f]Christine[/name_f] is my favourite variant.
This is my name!!! I was almost always the only [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] (I’m mid twenties) and it was one of those names where it wasn’t “cool” but it wasn’t annoying either so I really like it.
I never had any problems getting my name mixed up outside of [name_u]Christian[/name_u]. Which sound soooo similar when people said it that I would think they were taking to me. That being said I like it better than most K names. Too many Kathryns, [name_f]Katie[/name_f]’s, [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]’s etc.
Kristin is okay. It feels very versatile
As a [name_f]Kristina[/name_f] I would just say be ok with every possible variation and spelling combo coming at you. I grew up being called [name_f]Christine[/name_f]/Kristine; [name_f]Kristen[/name_f]; [name_f]Kristin[/name_f], and even [name_f]Kristal[/name_f]. I do think things might be easier as ai don’t think it’s as trendy now…
I like it.
Cute! Vibes are similar to [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], I would say.
I’ve always liked the name [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] and wished it was my name when I was a kid. It’s familiar but there aren’t many, especially nowadays. I like it much better than [name_f]Christine[/name_f] or [name_f]Christina[/name_f].
I like the name but prefer [name_f]Christine[/name_f] and [name_f]Christina[/name_f]. I think it would be mistaken for [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] a lot.
It’s fine, but I prefer [name_f]Christina[/name_f] or [name_f]Christabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Christiane[/name_f]. I’ve known so many Kristins, mostly through teaching them.
I prefer [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] over [name_f]Christine[/name_f], etc. It’s much softer!
It feels more overused than dated, to me.
Prefer [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] spelling and [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] to [name_f]Christine[/name_f]. I can’t tie [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] to a specific decade per se, but it doesn’t sound classic either. However, I do find [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] sweet and lovely as it conjures up Nordic imagery for me I wouldn’t pick [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] for my own child, but I like it from afar.
It’s fine. I don’t think it’s that dated perhaps a little bit but not majorly.
I agree that it is dated but I think it looks and sounds really cute
I think [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] is lovely, but I do prefer the [name_f]Kristen[/name_f] spelling. It’s very sweet, I quite like it I’ve contemplated adding it to my list
