Jumping on the bandwagon because I’ve simply adored this trend and getting to see everyone’s words, moodboards and visions.

I am anxiously and excitedly waiting to be a mum [name_f][/name_f]- it’s what I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember. I’m excited to watch them grow and introduce them to new things. To see their personalities grow, gain their own interests and to just be around these little people. [name_m]Even[/name_m] seemingly mundane things like helping them choose their clothes in the morning and doing their hair before school.

I’m excited for their big moments like taking them to their first NRL game and concert and theme park but more than that, I’m excited for the little ones like turning on music while dinner’s cooking and having a dance party or reading ‘A [name_m]Fish[/name_m] out of Water’ or ‘We’re Going On A [name_m]Bear[/name_m] Hunt’ for the 5th time in a day. We’ll go on adventures around our community and have mini concerts in the car on the way to school. I want to see them find their passions and encourage them to pursue their interests.

I want to teach them to be kind and empathetic people and I want to be the kind of mum who teaches them how to be independent but is always there when they need it. That when they have a problem or something goes wrong, I want their first thought not to be ‘what am I going to tell mum’ but ‘i want to talk to mum.’ That life is messy but it’s beautiful and there’s beauty in every day, we just have to find it. That no matter what happens or how old they are, that they can always come back home and my arms are always open. I want to raise a house full of love and a family full of love.

Most of all, I’m excited to watch them grow. From squishy little bubby’s with the biggest eyes and sweetest laughs to the most curious toddlers who’s little hands are still small enough for me to wrap my thumb and pinkie around when holding them to primary kids with just the biggest personalities and the biggest hearts to preteens with ALL the sass and to teenagers with just the most interesting insights and thoughts that I’ll probably struggle to keep up with but will try my best to anyway. I’m excited for it all and to one day be able to watch my little loves grow up and love them everyday.
