I love both of these names and I was wondering which one sounds cooler for a boy?
Definitely [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]! I prefer the [name_u]Skyler[/name_u] spelling myself. [name_m]Kylar[/name_m] looks made up and just doesn’t appeal to me at all.
I feel a little biased as I am named [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] but I have always liked it. I’ve known girls and boys with the name and despite the gain in popularity, it always gets really nice compliments.
[name_u]Skylar[/name_u], but would spell it [name_u]Skyler[/name_u] for a boy.
But I like [name_m]Kyler[/name_m] too, as long as it’s spelled with an “e” as well! [name_m]Kyler[/name_m] looks like a variant of [name_u]Kyle[/name_u], while [name_m]Kylar[/name_m] reminds me of something sci-fi.
I prefer [name_u]Skyler[/name_u] (this spelling).
[name_u]Skyler[/name_u]. I loved [name_m]Kyler[/name_m] when I was a teenager, but now it sounds kind of made up and ‘trendy’ (my area has a lot of Ky___ or ____ler names, so it kind of just gets lumped in with them in my brain). I don’t like the -ar ending for either.
[name_u]Skylar[/name_u] for me. [name_m]Kylar[/name_m] feels a little incomplete to me (I think because my brain goes right to [name_u]Skyler[/name_u]/[name_u]Skylar[/name_u]). But it’s funny that the two-syllable name feels incomplete when I love [name_m]Ky[/name_m]/[name_u]Kai[/name_u] all on its own!
