I’d say neither and go for [name]Kirsten[/name] [name]Reese[/name], but I see you have a ‘y’ trend in all the names.
Because of that I vote for [name]Kyrsten[/name] [name]Reese[/name].
Im not a fan of either spelling. [name]Both[/name] look too much like [name]Kristyn[/name]. I’d go with [name]Kirsten[/name] [name]Reese[/name], and it looks better with the e’s in [name]Reese[/name] [name]IMO[/name].
Well my name is [name]Kirstin[/name]…and usually I would say spell it [name]Kirsten[/name] or probably don’t use it (I absolutely hate my name because its not spelled correctly and ALMOST no one knows how to say it- always saying [name]Kristen[/name]) but if I had to choose between the two ways you spell it I would say [name]Kirstyn[/name] ([name]Kyrsten[/name] will be pronounced like [name]KY[/name]-ER-stin).
I’d prefer Kirsten (which I personally like as well) or Kirstin, but if you must use one of those spellings I’d go with Kirstyn. Generally I’m not a fan of “creative” spellings, and this name is one that will already have some confusion issues (mainly with being mistaken with Kristen, etc.).
I would go with [name]Kirstyn[/name] over [name]Kyrsten[/name].
I think there will be confusion with the name either way. [name]KEER[/name]-sten, KER-sten, [name]Kristen[/name] …
But [name]Kirstyn[/name] at least looks more recognizable like it’s [name]Kirsten[/name] spelled with a different ending, whereas [name]Kyrsten[/name] to me just looks too different from the original name that it might throw people off.
I prefer [name]Kirsten[/name], myself. Out of your two I think [name]Kirstyn[/name] is better, though I am still not a fan. The sound of [name]Kirstyn[/name] [name]Reese[/name] is nice though.
If you want the Y in it, [name]Kirstyn[/name] looks better than [name]Kyrsten[/name]. As others have said, [name]Kyrsten[/name] probably will be more likely to be mistaken for [name]Krysten[/name]. I like the name, although I prefer the [name]Kirsten[/name] spelling.
Sorry but none of the spellings are appealing to me. I think your daughter will have a lifetime of correcting people if you choose any of these options. I’m not a fan of unnecessary y’s thrown in where they really shouldn’t be.
I actually noticed a backpack today and my daughter’s preschool with [name]Kyrsten[/name] monogrammed on it. I think I’m going to be in the minority and choose this spelling. I just really never like the ‘tyn’ ending.
I usually prefer more traditional spellings but [name]Kirstyn[/name] looks quite a refreshing variation on the name and so I would vote for [name]Kirstyn[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
