[name]Lilith[/name]. I think there’s something very classic and strong about it. I don’t like that everyone seems to have such negative associations towards because I think it’s darling.
It’s dependant on what the fn is really but I like [name]Laurel[/name] & [name]Lilac[/name] the best. [name]Laurel[/name] is beautiful, very classic whereas [name]Lilac[/name] is more girly
I have voted for [name]Laurel[/name] because it seems pretty fresh, but timeless at the same time. It’s the one on the list that I see ageing really well, whereas as gorgeous as [name]Lilac[/name] and [name]Liora[/name] are I’m not sure how great it would to a middle aged lady named [name]Lilac[/name]?! Seems a little childish.
However, if we’re talking middle name spot I’d still go with [name]Laurel[/name], but the the other three are perfectly acceptable and I could definitely imagine names like [name]Sophia[/name] [name]Lilac[/name], [name]Eden[/name] [name]Lilith[/name], [name]Grace[/name] [name]Liora[/name] (just examples!).
I love [name]Lilith[/name]! Gives you the popular nickname of [name]Lily[/name] but it has a much nicer sound. I understand everyone’s negative reactions, but people seem to really like [name]Delilah[/name], [name]Cain[/name], [name]Jezabel[/name]…why not [name]Lilith[/name]? My Jewish teacher during my Religius world View class said that Lilith was the first wife of Adam and that she became a demon or something…I don’t know if that’s true or not but I still love it!
!
[name]Lilith[/name] actually has some interesting positive associations for me in the folklore I was brought up with re: being [name]Adam[/name]'s first wife, and created at the same time.
I get vintagemoon saying [name]Lilac[/name] seems girly and sheflieswithherownwings saying it seems childish… it does have a rather pastel sort of effect, almost cotton-candyish. But I think it comes down on juuust the right side of too cute to use, if that makes sense. I would probably only use it as a middle name, though.
I do really want to like [name]Lilac[/name], but I think it’s better suited as a middle name!
Since we’re talking about middle names I voted for [name]Lilac[/name]
I voted [name]Laurel[/name]. I love [name]Lily[/name] names, but I just can’t get behind [name]Lilith[/name], no matter how hard I try.
My vote is for [name]Lilac[/name]. First of all I love the flower and the colour purple. I like it better as a name than [name]Violet[/name]. [name]Lilac[/name] is softer sounding.
[name]Leora[/name] is also lovely and uncommon. A long time ago, I had a neighbor named [name]Leora[/name] [name]Jean[/name].
They are all quite lovely! It came down to [name]Leora[/name] or [name]Laurel[/name] for me but I went with [name]Leora[/name] in the end.
