I realized that I had never seen anything about the name(s) Lucrezia/Lucretia on nameberry. They are no doubt mentioned somewhere, but I haven’t seen them.
Curious about how people feel about them. The difference of the z or the t makes the names different in mood to me.

I don’t really like the name to be honest, and that is with either spelling. I think it would muddle up teachers and they would always pronounce it wrong, and the poor child would always be spelling her name out. It could really work as a middle though! Especially after a 1 syllable first name!
I really like [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f]. It has an intetesting and distinct sound

I think these names are a lot harsher to the ear than all of the other [name_f]Lu[/name_f] names that berries love. I do like them, but kind of more for character names in a book or on television than a real life person I think.

I’ve really liked [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f] ever since I played Assassin’s [name_m]Creed[/name_m] as a teenager; [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f] Borgia features as a character. She wasn’t a nice person of course, but I think the name has a lovely sound. Where I live there is also a newsreader named [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f] Millarini (she is of Italian descent, as you’d expect from her name).
I don’t like [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f] as much - or at least, I don’t like the traditional [name_f]English[/name_f] pronunciation, loo-CREE-sha. It doesn’t sound that pretty to me. The Italian pronunciation is much nicer in my opinion.

I like Lucrezia/Lucretia but in the spanish shows I watch they always end up being mean characters so I think it has a bit of a mean girl vibe in my mind! It also makes me think of the name Ludmilla!

They’re both super interesting. I do agree that they feel different in vibes because of the difference between the z and the t. I prefer [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f] just because it’s more of my own personal style, but both are great in their own right!

I want to like [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f], and in theory, I do. But the more I say it out loud, the less I can get pass the “kreesh” sound. I really like [name_f]Lucrezia[/name_f], it sounds very elegant.
