Lace vs Lacey... or something else?!

I’m due in 3 weeks and we just found out it’s a girl! I need HELP and opinions!
I have one daughter named [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_f]Lila[/name_f].
I love the “yn” sound. (I have a cat named [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] lol). I love very feminine names that are great for young and old. So that leads me to this:

I love the name [name_f]Lace[/name_f]/[name_f]Lacey[/name_f]. I love the idea that she could be named [name_f]Lace[/name_f], and we nn her [name_f]Lacey[/name_f], but she has the option of just being [name_f]Lace[/name_f] when she’s older. Is that weird? Our last name is Willms (not [name_m]Will[/name_m]-ems or [name_m]Williams[/name_m]). So it doesn’t flow perfectly.

Here are our other top choices, and I don’t mind combining them for middle names, though they don’t all flow nicely.

  1. [name_f]Lace[/name_f]/[name_f]Lacey[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] (I just kinda HATE that I thought it was unique and it is SUPER popular)
  3. Gracyn/[name_f]Gracen[/name_f] nn [name_u]Gray[/name_u] (If I was having a boy it would be [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]. My grandmother was [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - though my mom made a point of not naming any of us after anyone, so I’m not sure about this. Also, not sure if it’s girly enough. I [name_f]DO[/name_f] love that it would be unique! Also, friends have a [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] - and I def don’t want that nn).
  4. [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] (I would never name a girl this - though we know a [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. nn [name_u]Dash[/name_u]. I like how unique that is).

I dislike classic names for the most part, and super popular names. (I know [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is classic though).

Ideas?

I would do it the opposite way, that is formally name her [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] and nickname her [name_f]Lace[/name_f]. [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] seems the more formal of the two names for me, since it is more established.

[name_f]Gracen[/name_f] and Gracyn don’t strike me as a names that will age gracefully, or “for young and old” as you put it. I would simply use [name_u]Gray[/name_u], I think it can stand alone and would age better. Or just [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] for a girl, still works better than [name_f]Gracen[/name_f] or Gracyn.

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] or seems like a good sibset to me.

[name_u]Amery[/name_u], [name_u]Amory[/name_u]
[name_u]Arley[/name_u]
[name_f]Garnet[/name_f]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_f]Daria[/name_f]
[name_u]Tierney[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]
[name_u]Charley[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_u]Sky[/name_u]
[name_u]Keary[/name_u]
[name_f]Eira[/name_f]
[name_u]Mattie[/name_u]
[name_u]Glen[/name_u]
[name_u]Clove[/name_u]
[name_f]Ariella[/name_f]

[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] match really well stylistically. I can’t really see [name_f]Lace[/name_f] as a real name and not a word, and I don’t think it flows well with your last name. [name_f]Gracen[/name_f] is okay but it doesn’t really match the simple sweetness that [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] has, neither does [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] go well and I don’t think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is too popular, however, overall [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] is still my favourite from your options

What middle name would you choose for [name_f]Lacey[/name_f]?

[name_f]Lacey[/name_f] [name_f]Aria[/name_f] Willms?

I like some of those suggestions. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you so much. I think [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] is still my top pick. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] [name_f]Aria[/name_f] Willms flows well?

I had never heard of [name_f]Lace[/name_f] as a name until this last season of the [name_m]Bachelor[/name_m] blush
I really like it.

Hahaha That’s where I saw it! ([name_f]Lace[/name_f] on the [name_m]Bachelor[/name_m]). It’s so pretty.

I would pick [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] of your choices.
