Okay after really thinking about this and posting many times (thanks for all the help!), I think im adding Lachlan Blake to my list and have my heart set on it for brother to Elliott Reese (although not currently expecting).
Its funny - I dont like Blake that much but in combination, I really like it paired with Lachlan. Its interesting to me that you may not like a name as a first name but it can be the perfect middle name.
I think Lachlan Blake is simple, kind of cowboy/boho, and it sounds good with our surname. Both names are unisex but I think it sounds masculine but the unisex possibility makes it modern.
Now I just have to convince my husband. He vetoed Lachlan in the past but I seriously can’t stop thinking about it. Its definitely my favorite boy name right now (besides Elliott Reese.of course!).
I also like Lachlan Beau but I think Lachlan Blake is a bit more well-rounded.
What do you think? Honest opinions! Since I’m not pregnant it won’t hurt my feelings if you hate it but I really worked hard at reaching this name!
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is definitely masculine sounding to me. [name_u]Nature[/name_u] vibes and sort of regal too. Nice sound with [name_u]Blake[/name_u].
I was thinking about [name_u]Blair[/name_u] too. Its one I really love it. I think all the sounds in all three names (first, middle and last) kinda clash with all the Ls, Rs and Bs so I think [name_u]Blake[/name_u] sounds better with our surname than [name_u]Blair[/name_u] but its worth thinking about because I love [name_u]Blair[/name_u] on a boy!
Thank you! Im obsessed too!! I think it goes perfectly with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] too which is amazing. I wasn’t necessarily going for something similar but just something I can love equally. [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] just funny because I seriously never liked [name_u]Blake[/name_u] but it really works paired with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] right?!
