Lainey's Name Q&A 🍡

Inspired by @emeraldsea and @ivorydiaries

I saw these threads, and since I’m bored I figured I’d start my own. Feel free to ask me any name related questions!

This is such a fun idea! Thank you to Phoebe and Tilly for doing this.

Lilac Seraphine is lovely. I’d suggest Whimsy Leonora, Story Elisabeth, or Prairie Genevieve as sisters and Evren Leopold, Hollis Benedict, and Haven Casimir as brothers.

This names are all so lovely, especially Jilly-Mae. I’d suggest Dorothy “Dot”, Philippa “Pip”, and Flannery “Franny” for sisters and Simon “Si” and Wilfred “Wilf” for brothers.

This was difficult. However, as I was looking through my list I noticed the “el” sound and the letter “L” a lot. For example, Eleanor, Eliot, Eloise, Elowyn, Elva, Leonie, Liesel, Lila, Lilia, Luella, Elio, Elliot, Linus, Locke, and Lucien. Also, I like “R” and “A” names for both genders.
I really can’t think of any I dislike except for a few that have a long A sound like Nevaeh and Aiden/Brayden/Jayden/Kayden/etc. Ada is definitely an exception here.

obsessed

@Larryisalittledog These are such fabulous options - [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] are excellent!

I haven’t thought much about Matteo, and I thought I didn’t like him, but now that you’re having me think about him, I can definitely see the appeal and I kinda like Matteo.
Matteo is popular, but he feels unique and as an Oliver fan, I have no business calling a name too popular. I really love the “ayo” sound at the end. I imagine Matteo as a very creative, friendly boy and after writing this, I think I love Matteo. This is how I’d imagine a young Matteo.

I know this is aquired taste, but I’d name a sister Atticus Mabel Juniper (and for a cute nickname, I’d suggest “Kitty”) or Marlowe Beatrix Fifer. For a brother, I’d suggest Shepherd Theodore Sage and Thatcher Henry Oak.
