Honestly, I don’t like it. It sounds made-up to me, and it sounds like a mashup of the name “[name]Blake[/name] Lively.”

Yeah, I’m not a fan either-- I would do either [name]Lake[/name] or Lively, not both. You could do [name]Chelsea[/name] (for Lately)!

Sounds like Lately, then Likely with an accent. [name]Laken[/name]/Lakyn is OK for a boy

I love the name [name]Lake[/name] for it’s clear sophisticated simplicity and Lakely just doesn’t have that for me.

I think it’s a cute trendy name for a girl but doesn’t feel like it could work on a boy. I see it in a sibset with something like [name]Paisley[/name].

I dislike it - made-up, trendy with the -ley ending, feels very childish.

I don’t care for it…I thought [name]Blakely[/name] (girl) was awful, but Lakely might be worse.

I also just think of Lately, so I would have to give it a thumbs down.

Not a fan. It is incredibly judgmental of me, but when I hear names like that, I tend to assume the parents are teenagers. There are so many wonderful names out there, why make up one?

I agree with [name]Flick[/name]. It sounds really made-up and trendy. Doesn’t roll off the tongue easily at all.

I don’t think its THAT bad… A lot of names people like on here sound made up! Like [name]Seraphina[/name] for example. Lakely isn’t my favorite, nor is it my style, but there is a lot worse out there!

I normally like quirky word/nature names but this just doesn’t do it for me. I have to agree with others in saying that it sounds kind of made up and childish. I have seen it spelled Laiklee and I do much prefer it spelled Lakely, but still I can’t make myself like it. What about [name]Laken[/name], [name]Leighton[/name], or even just plain [name]Lake[/name]?

I like the name Lakely! There is a pro surfer name Lakey though and that was my first though when I saw this name. It’s not a bad thing though. In fact the surfer is really pretty(:

LOL [name]Seraphina[/name] is made up? Ok…no, no it is not.

And even if it were, [name]Seraphina[/name] doesn’t have that tacky -ley ending that is so trendy right now and it doesn’t sound childish and juvenile the way Lakely does, either.
