Larkin or Laiken

I’ve been going back and forth with girls names and have found it extremely difficult to find one I really like picking a boys name was a piece of cake. As of right now I have it narrowed down to [name]Laiken[/name], [name]Larkin[/name], [name]Dagny[/name] and Miette. I am leaning more towards [name]Laiken[/name] or [name]Larkin[/name], but I can’t decide which one I like better. No one ever tells you how hard picking out a name for your child can actually be!

[name]Dagny[/name] or Miette.

[name]Laiken[/name] is really trendy and made up and [name]Larkin[/name] is a boy’s name.

My favorite would be [name]Larkin[/name] (which is a girl’s name). Second favorite would be Miett, although I kind of see it as an older name, probably because the only Miett I know is in her 40s.

Honestly, I had to read your post a couples times before I understood what you were asking. They all read like boy’s names to me.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of any of those. But the least appealing by far is [name]Laiken[/name]. It looks and sounds like a [name]Star[/name] Trek name.
[name]Lark[/name] is lovely though. [name]Worth[/name] consideration…?

[name]Larkin[/name] is my favorite. [name]Laiken[/name] looks strange to me in writing but I like the sound. Miette is OK. [name]Dagny[/name] I find awful, personally, it just sounds like an old man being called by his surname to me!

I think [name]Lake[/name], just plain [name]Lake[/name] is so lovely and it has that sound like [name]Laiken[/name]. I also like [name]Laken[/name] over [name]Laiken[/name].

[name]Larkin[/name] is feminine enough for me.

It’s the medieval English diminutive of [name]Lawrence[/name].

There were girls in my class named [name]Larkin[/name] and Lakin, and their siblings had unisex names like [name]Jordan[/name] and [name]Payton[/name].

From your list, I prefer [name]Larkin[/name]. I think it sounds feminine, especially with [name]Lark[/name] beginning, and fits in with the surname trend. [name]Laiken[/name], to me, just sounds like two syllables you like smushed together, and I don’t think it looks nice written down. Miette is cute, but maybe a little cutesy? I like this one though, strong second from your list imo. [name]Dagny[/name] doesn’t have any appeal to me. Maybe you’d like [name]Darby[/name], [name]Darcy[/name]?

What about [name]Lark[/name]?
