I have 3 daughters now [name_f]Camille[/name_f] ([name_f]Millie[/name_f]) [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] ([name_u]Georgie[/name_u]) [name_f]Faith[/name_f], and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] ([name_f]Lucy[/name_f]) [name_u]June[/name_u].
We are planning one more (FINAL:D) child and am thinking of girl and boy names. For a girl I somehow am on a [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] kick. Is this a horrible name? It started because I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], but not any of the longer forms. Suddenly I started realizing I think [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is sort of cute. Does it go with my other girls names? I feel like their names are more “main stream”, where [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is much less used. Anyway my husband actually LOVES it so now I am like wanting to use it. So give me your honest opinions!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. Hubs would never let me use it, though. And [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is the cutest nickname, ever. I honestly think it’s adorable with your other girls’ names!
I think [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] goes well with the other girls. It’s not one of my faves, but [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is soooo cute. And, it’s a relief to see something other than the trendy [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_u]Paisley[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], [name_u]Emery[/name_u] etc…
A bonus is that she will always be known by her first name only!
I think [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] would work as well to get to [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] on The Wonder Years was [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], that could work too, but I think [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] sounds a bit better with your girls.
(This all being said, I do love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] and as long as you like it, it works fine).
It definitely works with her sisters’ names! And it’s such a beautiful, underused name too.
Names you might not have considered: [name_f]Winona[/name_f], [name_f]Winola[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_u]Winslow[/name_u], [name_f]Willodean[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f], [name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] (though [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is my favorite out of all “[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]” names!)
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is great and fits in well with the names of your other girls! I love pp’s suggestion of [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] also. Another suggestion would be [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] with your sibset too. My other favorite “long” name with a [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] nn is [name_f]Edwina[/name_f], but it seems a little heavy for your sibset so I’d go with [name_f]Winifred[/name_f].
Oh, I love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]!!! Its so beautiful and sweet. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is just the cutest. I also think it fits in perfectly with your other daughters names!
