My twins (girls) are due in about a week and I’m having the hardest time finalising what we’ll name them.
I have a daughter called [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (7), and two sons called [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] (4) and [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] (2).
I’m almost certain we’ll call one [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] or at least have that be a middle name.
Our last set of combinations are:
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]& [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Hailey[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
What is your favourite?
I’m not too sure about [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] to be honest but my husband thinks its sweet.
I know a lot of people don’t like [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] or [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] but my family and I are all very keen on them.
They’ll have one or two middle names like [name_f]Ruth[/name_f](my mothers name), [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Sibyl[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Lara[/name_f] or any of the other one in the combos.
If you could give your opinions I would really appreciate it. xx
(P.S. Huge thanks to the people who helps with my other posts )
Sorry to say it, but I am not a fan of [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] or [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], but if you like them then that is what is most important. Nothing wrong with them, they’re just not my style. My favorite names on your list are [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. However, if you go with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and shorten to nicknames [name_f]Maddy[/name_f] and [name_f]Addy[/name_f], then it might be a bit of a tongue twister. Good luck!
@ella, what pretty names you have on your list! For what it’s worth, I really like Darcy - I love the Irish history behind the name. Here are my favorite combinations for you:
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]- [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is one of my favourite girls names, its beautiful. I also like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and I think they go well together!
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]& [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]- [name_f]Love[/name_f] both names, go together really well, and really sweet
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and I also love it with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! They sound really cute together.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]- So pretty! [name_f]Love[/name_f] both names and they go well together!
Looks like you have a tough decision to make, good luck!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m], wonderful name choices! My own name is [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] so I can say I love my name!! So If you decide on that one [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] goes beautiful with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]:
[name_f]Hailey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
So cute!
If you take [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], the MN [name_f]Kate[/name_f] sounds great with it. If you don’t like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], don’t use it. My choices would be:
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
Good luck and it would be lovely if you told us your final name choice;)!!!
I really like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is a beautiful name, but I would pass on it as a first name if you go with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] for one of the girls.
Clara Teagan
Clara Adelaide
Clara Caroline
Adelaide Rose
Madeline Darcy
Madeline Sibyl
Madeline Claire
Genevieve Kate
Genevieve Claire
Genevieve Alexandra
Genevieve Lara
I would avoid Madeline and Adelaide as FNs together. I find them too similar.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is my favourite combination. [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is my second favourite, even though I am not a fan of the name [name_u]Darcy[/name_u].
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be great! [name_m]Both[/name_m] are very [name_m]French[/name_m] and compliment each other nicely.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]!
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - although the [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] would be better.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
Personally, I wouldn’t pair surnames like [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] or [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] with a classic name like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]. There would be a lack of cohesion in the twinset. Good luck!
not a fan of teagan or darcy. [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] both [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], and they compliment eachother beautifully!
I love [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Also, in [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Canada[/name_f], we also use the spelling [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (pr Mah-deu-lynn), not just [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] (pr Mah-deu-len) so both spellings could be considered [name_m]French[/name_m]. Though we spell it Geneviève with the accent.
Favourites: [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Hailey[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] and & [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] has nice rhythm, but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I can’t get on board with [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], sorry; it’s a distinctly male surname to me. I’d like [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], if that was an option.
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] reminds me of the pop duo [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Sara[/name_f].
