Last minute feedback on Celestine

My baby is due this month and I would really appreciate some last minute feedback on the name I chose for her: [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]. Please be brutal and honest!

I definitely prefer [name_f]Celestina[/name_f] but it’s a pretty name
the meaning is nice and it has an “elegant-but-cute” feel to it

I’m not really a fan. I think [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] are both much prettier.

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] and unusual without being weird. However, I do prefer the slightly shorter but still beautiful and ethereal [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], and I think it would sit a tiny bit better alongside [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Toby[/name_u], which feel more down-to-earth than [name_f]Celestine[/name_f].

Then again, [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] wouldn’t go as well with the middle names you’ve chosen for her, which I love. I think [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Martha[/name_f] is especially beautiful

Good luck!

It’s nice but I much prefer [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]

It’s very pretty, but I prefer [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] over [name_f]Celestine[/name_f]. [name_f]Celestia[/name_f] has a bit more of an airy, sparkly feel. [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] gets a little bogged down with it’s -ine ending for me. I can’t put my finger on why because I like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], which both have that same ending, but for me [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] doesn’t quite reach the elegance that [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] have. That being said, it is still a pretty name and would be lovely for a little girl.

It’s beautiful, I love it.

I think it’s a beautiful name!!

Thank you all for the comments, praises and honest criticism, you all are wonderful!
I love the name [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], but [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] is much closer to my heart and I fear that using [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] I would risk not having [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] “stick”. It’s a name that matters a great deal for me due to the meaning, sound and it’s tie to art and childhood memories and stories.

My sons both [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] & [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] ([name_u]Toby[/name_u]'s middle name is [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] because of the bear) and so I thought that her name would tie in with those of her brothers. Similarly as [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_u]Willie[/name_u] and [name_m]Pim[/name_m] are both dimunitives of [name_m]William[/name_m]/[name_m]Willem[/name_m] in different languages.

I don’t know, I honestly feel like this is the one!

Well, there’s your answer!! Who cares what any of us thinks?! Personally, I think [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Willa[/name_f] is gorgeous, so I have no criticism to offer. I do think you should take any criticism you receive with a grain of salt because most people will prefer [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] or some other name because of their own experience and association or taste… clearly, [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] is the perfect fit for you & your fam. I love the thought that went into it!
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t change it  Congrats!!

I like it a lot! I’ve always preferred [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] and [name_f]Celestina[/name_f] to [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], but just seeing it in your post made me appreciate what a beauty she is! I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Celestine[/name_f], and I think [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]Toby[/name_u], and [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] are lovely together.
