Our third girl is due in a week and I have been in love with the name [name]Carys[/name] for a couple years. Husband wasn’t really fond of it so I started another thread for suggestions. And he didn’t like any of those either! Well [name]Carys[/name] has finally grown on him since our oldest daughter has been calling her baby doll by it. However, I am really starting to like [name]Calista[/name] as well. My husband likes it but thinks I’m crazy and that we should just stick with [name]Carys[/name].
What do you think? Our first two are [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name].
I have to agree with your husband on this one. I think [name]Carys[/name] is great with [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Julietta[/name]. I’m not a huge fan of [name]Calista[/name], although I do like [name]Callie[/name]. Your other girls’ names are lovely and soft and [name]Calista[/name] sounds harsh next to them, I think.
I really love it! [name]How[/name] are you pronouncing it? I’ve heard of it being pronounced CARE-iss, CARE-eese, cuh-RISS, although I may be confusing it with the pronunciation of [name]Cerys[/name].
I like [name]Calista[/name] a lot, especially with the nickname [name]Callie[/name], and one advantage of [name]Calista[/name] is that it doesn’t come with the potential pronunciation problems that [name]Carys[/name] will face (at least in the States).
I think [name]Carys[/name] goes with [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Calista[/name] goes with [name]Juliette[/name]! I actually like both for different reasons. I’d go with your gut on this one, which seems to be [name]Carys[/name].
[name]Carys[/name] all the way!!! [name]Isla[/name], [name]Carys[/name], and [name]Juliette[/name] sound wonderful together. I think [name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Calista[/name] make sense together, however they both make [name]Isla[/name] seem like the odd man out, as it is much softer and simpler than the other two. [name]Carys[/name] brings both [name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Isla[/name] together in my opinion
While I think [name]Carys[/name] is a great match for hypothetical sisters [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name], your daughters are [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name], and I like [name]Calista[/name] much better with those (and in general!). [name]Carys[/name] is lovely, but I would love to see [name]Calista[/name] with your girls. But if he’ll only agree to [name]Carys[/name], I think that is a lovely choice.
I love the name [name]Calista[/name], but I like [name]Carys[/name] as well, and prefer it with your other girls’ names for the reasons already mentioned. What a beautiful trio of names-- Well done!
[name]Carys[/name] is perfect with the other names. I’m not really a [name]Calista[/name] fan. I also really like that [name]Carys[/name] has a different end letter to [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name].
I think both names are lovely and you can’t go wrong with either of them. I would wait until you meet her and then you will get more of an idea whether she is a [name]Carys[/name] or a [name]Calista[/name]! I do personally like [name]Carys[/name] more than [name]Calista[/name].
I agree with what another poster said about [name]Calista[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name] working well together but almost too much so that [name]Isla[/name] is the odd one out. I also like when all names have different start and end sounds. All reasons to vote for [name]Carys[/name]! I have been loving this name too, but I do worry about pronunciation issues. I always thought it was said, “CARE-iss”. I just read someone’s post about it being “KUH-riss” and that threw me off completely! Curious how you’re pronouncing it? Whatever the case though- my vote is for [name]Carys[/name]
