Hi, I have loved the name Navy for so long, but my married last name is White. Would it be too much to have two colors for my baby’s name? It would be my only baby to have a color as a first name, so it wouldn’t be a running theme for the rest of my children. Thanks!
It is too colour like for me. What about [name_u]Navy[/name_u] as a middle name or something with nickname [name_u]Navy[/name_u] like [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f], [name_u]Haven[/name_u], or [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]? A hyphenated name like Navy-Rose or Navy-John could work too.
I don’t think it’s so bad. If your last name were [name_u]Blue[/name_u] then it would definitely be a bad idea, but [name_u]Navy[/name_u] White sounds ok to me. It’s not great, but if [name_u]Navy[/name_u] is your most favorite name and it seems ok to you then it’s fine.
I think that it is very theme-y, and a bit of an unfortunate combination. However, if there’s no other name you love as much as [name_u]Navy[/name_u], then I think you could make it work. [name_u]Navy[/name_u] White is a lot better than, say, [name_u]Navy[/name_u] [name_u]Blue[/name_u].
It’s still usable, but personally I wouldn’t do it. If it feels like the perfect name for your child, you could pull it off, I suppose.
I wouldn’t want to be named [name_u]Navy[/name_u] White, personally, especially if I’m the only one in the family with a gimmicky kind of name.
How about [name_m]Davy[/name_m]? [name_f]Tavy[/name_f]? Bevy? [name_u]Alvy[/name_u]?
