So on this show I’m watching, Last [name_m]Tango[/name_m] in [name_m]Halifax[/name_m], two characters start gushing about names for her future daughter. And so, being a name nerd, I thought I’d post it. Here 'tis (with the categories she coined them in):
The Traditional Names:

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - [name_m]Alan[/name_m] only calls her that so he can make it rhyme with stuff
FooFoo, Tinkerbell - The person who calls her that is an idiot
And finally, the older woman calls her [name_f]Fanny[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] when groping for a name.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] Last [name_m]Tango[/name_m] in [name_m]Halifax[/name_m] – and [name_m]Derek[/name_m] [name_m]Jacobi[/name_m]! And I too listened carefully to the names…so funny. Puir wee bairn. But we also have: [name_m]Alan[/name_m], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], Raf, [name_f]Gillian[/name_f], [name_m]John[/name_m], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_u]Robbie[/name_u], [name_u]Laurence[/name_u], [name_m]Harry[/name_m], et. al.
I know, isn’t [name_m]Derek[/name_m] [name_m]Jacobi[/name_m] just adorable in that show? One of the reasons I keep watching.
I realize I forgot to say what I thought of the names - I like the “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” names and “Traditional names.” Based on the parents, I think they should call her [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. ([name_m]How[/name_m] [name_m]Raff[/name_m] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are both nicknames, so is [name_f]Rosie[/name_f].)

I love that show and I was also listening carefully when she was talking names, although I didn’t write them down. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites from the list are [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. No spoilers, but the nickname the baby gets is awesome!
