I’d vote for [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- it has a pretty meaning (bright; shining :sparkles:), familiar but not super popular and easy to pronounce in other languages! I feel like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is one of those names with the perfect balance between sweet and bouncy while still feeling mature and aging well.

[name_f][/name_f]

As for the boys, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] gets my vote! The meaning is adorable (friend of the deers :face_holding_back_tears::deer:), it offers the nickname [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] which is also sweet and is multicultural and easy to spell.

[name_f][/name_f]

I hope this helps! :pink_heart:

You have some solid choices!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] → friendly and easy-going

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Rose[/name_f] → sleek and classic

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] → elegant and subtle

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Leonor[/name_f] → this has flair and artiness

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Nora[/name_f] → cosy and vintage but solid

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]James[/name_m] → classic and versatile though not quite so interesting as your others

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Julius[/name_m] → handsome and elegant

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] → gentle and quirky with a lovely meaning

[name_f]My[/name_f] vote is for [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_m]James[/name_m]

If you’re a bit concerned with popularity, I would take [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] (#59) and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (#14) off your girls list as they’re both in the top 100 (in the USA, at least) and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] has been rising but she’s still safe so that leaves you [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & Rose/Rosa.

[name_f][/name_f]

For the boys, [name_m]James[/name_m] is #4[name_f][/name_f] in the USA so I’d steer clear of it. The others are fairly less common although I’d imagine [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] especially will trend upward over the coming years.

[name_f][/name_f]

Personally, I would go with Rose/Rosa over [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and for either [name_m]Julius[/name_m] or [name_m]Vincent[/name_m].

[name_f]My[/name_f] vote would be to keep [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] / [name_f]Rosa[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] for girls… maybe as a combo? [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] sounds stunning, isn’t too popular, and has that international vibe that you’re going for!
[name_f][/name_f]For boys, I would go for [name_m]Oscar[/name_m][name_f][/name_f] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m][name_f][/name_f] – neither are too popular, but widely used across the globe, and are just such handsome options!

I love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. Good luck!

Personal faves for the girls are: [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] (love! [name_f]Regal[/name_f] and refined [name_f][/name_f]- and gives nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f], and avoids Ellie); [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (elegant and charming); [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] (immediately likeable).

[name_f][/name_f]

For boys: [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and I would probably go [name_m]Julian[/name_m] over [name_m]Julius[/name_m] but I do like [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- both nn [name_m]Jules[/name_m]. [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] is good to but I’m a bit unsure about [name_m]Vince[/name_m] and [name_f]Vinnie[/name_f] so would be a stronger middle name contender for me.

[name_f][/name_f]

Are there any whose nicknames you prefer?

I vote [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] for girls.
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Oscar[/name_m] for boys

The reason it’s hard to narrow it down is because none of these names are bad, they could all work.

[name_f][/name_f]

“Overly popular” is a personal opinion, but if you’re trying to avoid popular, some of your names might be more popular than you think…

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- #59[name_f][/name_f] for US girls
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- #25[name_f][/name_f] for US girls
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- #14[name_f][/name_f] for US girls
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- #4[name_f][/name_f] for US boys

[name_f][/name_f]

I assume 4 names is two of each gender. So based on your criteria, if I had to choose, I would take [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] for the girls, and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] for the boys.

Congrats!

[name_f][/name_f]

If we’re looking to narrow down, I’ll be a little hard on the names:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- very popular in recent years, might not be what you’re looking for
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- would have a completely different pronunciation in other languages, mostly leaning towards “sad”, which might put a bummer on the happiness of it
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- popular if you’re in the UK?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- also non unpopular and very not international friendly
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Vincent[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- I do believe they’re always more popular than I think, but they’re nicely international and still not top of the charts

[name_f][/name_f]

Are you trying to narrow to 4 overall or [name_f][/name_f] each?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Rosa[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] (Nora and Rose)
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] (Oscar, Julius)

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on your list

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] ~ such a pretty summery choice that feels joyous and bright definitely matching her meaning. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is sweet happy name.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] ~ a vintage nickname choice that again feels happy, melodic and summery. I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is a lovely name that has this fun imagery surrounding an adorable girl wearing sweet sundresses selling cloudy lemonade.

[name_f][/name_f]

Rose/Rosa ~ [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is elegant, timeless name that feels delicate and romantic. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is one of my favourite names she’s beautiful. [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] feels more retro with a sugary sweet flair with brilliant historical association with [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_m]Parks[/name_m]. I do prefer [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but both are beautiful.

[name_f][/name_f]

Eleanor/Leonor/Nora ~ [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] feels regal, historic and strong she’s classic and has a range of sweet nicknames. [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] feels more enchanting and unexpected she’s classic and charming. Finally [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is a fun vintage nickname choice that feels spunky. Putting forward suggestion of [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] which is my favourite from these style of names.

[name_f][/name_f]

Absolutely love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] she’s my favourite :rose:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]James[/name_m] ~ he is a cuddly warm name that feels reliable and timeless with sweet nickname options. He is rich in biblical history however his meaning isn’t the best so if meanings are important I would choose a different choice.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Julius[/name_m] ~ a distinguished classic that feels intellectual with a dark academia flair whilst also providing summery imagery, I like the meaning youthful and the nickname [name_m]Jules[/name_m].

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] ~ a very handsome classic with a pan European vibe and a fashionable O ending. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] has the lovely meaning ‘mind, intellect’ which appeals to me greatly. I think [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is gorgeous!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] ~ he’s handsome, feels serious with a universal flair and I think [name_f]Vinnie[/name_f] is a sweet nickname. I also like the meaning of [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] being conquering very strong.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] ~ a boyish name with the cute nickname [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] that feels fashionable and very current. I think he is lovely and I like the meaning deer lover you could go for a deer themed nursery which would be sweet.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] :books:

[name_f][/name_f]

Wishing you all the best!

I would stick to

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]James[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Rosa[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]

If you want to avoid popular I would avoid [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites for you are [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] or even [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] to combine two of those.

[name_f][/name_f]

Boys I love [name_m]James[/name_m] but he has been craazzzy popular for so long. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] are also fairly popular. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_m]James[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] but if you’re looking for less popularity [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] would be my pick for you.
