Im sick of myself now too lol but my husband and I have our FINAL two names… I promise I won’t ask after this but I need help. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is out- we wanted to stick with something softer and a tad more neutral. Our daughter is [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]. The two names we love are [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_u]Camille[/name_u].
I know [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is the [name_u]French[/name_u] spelling so I don’t know if it’s necessarily limited us going forward or if I’m over thinking it. (We are [name_u]French[/name_u] through family history but not speaking [name_u]French[/name_u] in the household, etc). I know [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is popular but please let me know what you think.
Camille [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is gorgeous, classy, and unique! [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a bit more common (both first and middle!), but if you’re fine with that, it could work. I also think [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is the PERFECT nickname for [name_u]Camille[/name_u] (or [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] - I actually have a character named [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Millie[/name_f] - and she is a fan favorite!).
Camille [name_u]Blair[/name_u] matches the chic [name_u]French[/name_u] first + cool androgynous middle pattern of your first daughter’s name perfectly, without feeling matchy. I absolutely love it! Such a cool, chic choice.
Amelia [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is very pretty but lacks the drama and individuality of your first daughter’s name. I know lots of little Amelias and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is also trending quite strongly at the moment, although of course it’s a beautiful traditional name. [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] seems to transcend time and trends to me!
I like the way that “[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]” sound together. [name_u]Or[/name_u], if you prefer, “[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Mila[/name_f].” Either way, they are each their own name, but they go together perfectly.
If you went with [name_u]Camille[/name_u], the fact that big sis has the [name_u]French[/name_u] spelling would make me pause and question if I should be using the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation for [name_u]Camille[/name_u], instead of the American pronunciation.
Vivienne and [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [Ca-MEEL] don’t sound very nice together in my opinion.
Sure, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is top 15 girls names, but when you search your state and figure in population density, that doesn’t result in 3 Amelias to a classroom by any measure. Popularity of a name just means it’s a good name. It doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be a ton in your kid’s grade/class.
I think [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is the standout but I personally prefer the nickname [name_f]Mila[/name_f], which would also work as a nn for [name_u]Camille[/name_u].
Oh please do not worry about bugging us with posts! We’re name nerds and we love to help!!
I voted [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! Though I do think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] would sound very pretty too! [name_u]Camille[/name_u] isn’t my favorite, I’m just not a fan of the sound.
Best of [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!
I also prefer [name_u]Camille[/name_u] with the nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] works more for [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] rather than [name_u]Camille[/name_u], just in my opinion.
You are not bothersome at all, you are totally asking the right people!
I really like both of your names! I ended up voting for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f] because I like the full name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] a tad more than [name_u]Camille[/name_u], and I think the nickname is more intuitive. I think [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] make sense, but [name_u]Camille[/name_u] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is not as easy to assume because the sounds are different. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] you are having fun with it, good luck!
I feel like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] fit better. I also prefer the flow of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] to [name_u]Camille[/name_u] [name_u]Blair[/name_u]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is a great compromise/suggestion and it follows the syllable pattern of your daughter’s name. In the end, you should go with your gut and what makes you happy!
Camille [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is lovely – both on its own and with sister [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_u]Page[/name_u]! And I love nn “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]”, too.
