Hello again. We had previously decided on [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] for our little girl who is due in a week, however, it’s made me realise how much I really do love [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and how pretty it looks on paper.
Our two choices at the minute are either:
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] ([name_f]Ginny[/name_f])
or
[name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] ([name_f]Bea[/name_f])
Which do you prefer? And when deciding, please try and forget any association with the deatheater, as it is a beautiful celestial name, with an unfortunate name bearer.
I prefer [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] as a first name. I think it’s a lovely and rare Italian name that ages well. I also think it’s more versatile when it comes to choosing sibling names and would “fit” with many name styles. [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] just reminds me of “beautiful tricks” so it’s kind of witchy and witched even without the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] connection. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Bella[/name_f] names anyway and [name_f]Trix[/name_f] doesn’t help change my mind.
While I do love the name [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] (and the character is my favorite), I prefer [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] on a real person. [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] is a GP name but I think [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] is much more wearable and BEAUTIFUL.
I also prefer [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] over [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]. [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] is not my taste as much as [name_f]Geneva[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], or just [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. [name_f]Neve[/name_f], [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], are all cute nn options for [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f].
I feel like [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] overrides [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]'s classy and unique sound. I feel like the first middle should be shorter and maybe not end with A.

[name_m]Both[/name_m] combinations are lovely, but I think I, too, prefer [name_f]Genevra[/name_f] on an actual person. It just seems more wearable. I do, however, appreciate that you would call her [name_f]Bea[/name_f] instead of her being another [name_f]Bella[/name_f] if you choose [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f]. Really, either way it will be lovely, but if made to choose, definitely [name_f]Genevra[/name_f].
Quite a HP fan, huh? Anyway, I approve of both [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], but I like your [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] combo much better. Also, I think you would have issues having a [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f] but wanting her to be called [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. It’s too much of a straight shot to [name_f]Bella[/name_f].
