We welcomed our son, [name_u]Royal[/name_u] [name_m]Callahan[/name_m], on [name_f]October[/name_f] 21st! He was 6lbs 11ozs of pure perfection!
He was named after my grandfather, [name_u]Royal[/name_u]. We kept the name a secret until he was born. He was so incredibly honored. We knew we wanted a middle name that started with C, so that he would have the same initials as my SO. [name_m]Callahan[/name_m] fit the bill. It’s a name I’ve loved for so long, and it fits our little boy so well.
What a lovely name! My parents did the same thing with my little brother, who was named [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] after my Papa [name_m]Curt[/name_m] and my grandma’s maiden name. My parents kept the gender and name a secret until [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] was born, and my grandparents were so touched when the name was announced in the hospital. I love stories like these!
