Do you think Lara could work as an nn for Lauren?
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] would be a more intuitive one I think, but yes, [name_f]Lara[/name_f] works to me!
It’s not intuitive to me.
It could but it’s not entirely natural (Laura/Laurie/Lenny more likely). I would just use [name_f]Lara[/name_f] on its own!
I think it works! If your name was [name_u]Lauren[/name_u] and you wanted to go by [name_f]Lara[/name_f], you could 100% do that. But if you were naming a baby, I’d advise to just go for [name_f]Lara[/name_f] on its own, to make things easier.
to me, it’s not intuitive at all because I have a [name_f]British[/name_f] accent where [name_u]Lauren[/name_u] is said with a short “o” and not an “ah” sound. in [name_u]America[/name_u] it may work!
I think it could, but it wouldn’t be my intuitive one
Yeah, it totally works
I knew a [name_f]Lara[/name_f] who pronounced it the same as [name_f]Laura[/name_f] (Lor-uh) but [name_u]Ive[/name_u] also seen [name_f]Lara[/name_f] like Lair-uh. If the starting sounds are the same the way you pronounce it then I think it works
I think [name_f]Lara[/name_f] could definitely be a nn for [name_u]Lauren[/name_u]. It may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but her friends and family could definitely call her that as a nn and other people might start calling her that sometimes too.
I really like both [name_u]Lauren[/name_u] and [name_f]Lara[/name_f].
Maybe, but you might want a name less like [name_u]Lauren[/name_u].
Heyyy this is actually my name, and I’m just curious if you’d pronounce it like la- ra or like [name_f]Lora[/name_f]? But I think that this totally works!
Yes! Definately…
I have a niece named [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and a niece named [name_u]Lauren[/name_u]. They both get called [name_u]Laurie[/name_u] sometimes…and [name_f]Lara[/name_f] or Lar every once in a while. Absolutely love [name_f]Lara[/name_f]!
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] would be more intuitive, but [name_f]Lara[/name_f] works too!
Yes, though I much prefer [name_f]Lara[/name_f].
