Lavender? Lilo? Lilou?

Since I was little I’ve always thought the names [name]Lavender[/name] and [name]Lilo[/name] were really cute and pretty after hearing them in ‘[name]Matilda[/name]’ and ‘[name]Lilo[/name] & Stitch’.

I think [name]Lavender[/name] is really pretty. I like how it’s familiar but uncommon. Wdyt?

What do you think of [name]Lilo[/name]? I really love the way it sounds and feels(to me).

I also really like [name]Lilou[/name]! I love the meaning of “lily” and the spelling. Wdyt? I like how [name]Lilou[/name]'s pronounced, but could [name]Lilou[/name] also be pronounced as “lee loe”?

Which is your favorite and why???

I absolutely adore [name]Lavender[/name]! It’s pretty, feminine and has gorgeous vintage feel. I can imagine it on a baby and on a woman, but I’d avoid it if you have a “color” last name.
[name]Lilo[/name] remindes me of a cartoon and seems a bit trendy - think [name]Lily[/name], [name]Lola[/name], [name]Lulu[/name], [name]Layla[/name]. Double l names are very popular now, but as long it doesn’t bother you, it’s fine.

Big fan of [name]Lavender[/name]. [name]Lilou[/name] and [name]Lilo[/name] seem more like nicknames to me. Perhaps you could use one as a nickname for [name]Lavender[/name]?

[name]Lavender[/name] is quite nice and deserving of wider use. [name]Lilo[/name] and [name]Lilou[/name] are too cutesy for me, but there’s no reason they can’t work as full names.

[name]Lavender[/name] is one of my favorite names. It’s easy to spell and has a lovely association with the [name]Lavender[/name] from [name]Matilda[/name]. I love it so much more than flower names such as [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Daisy[/name]. I would love to see it used on a little girl!

I like them all but would definately choose [name]Lilou[/name]. So adorable!

I absolutely love [name]Lavender[/name]. I think [name]Lilo[/name] is too tied to the cartoon. [name]Lilou[/name] is really pretty, but it reminds me of the Fifth Element movie. However, that association isn’t as strong as [name]Lilo[/name] and Stitch.

Thx for all the opinions so far!

I like both [name]Lilo[/name] and [name]Lilou[/name] as names on their own, but I’ve never thought of using them as a nickname for [name]Lavender[/name]! It would really be a stretch but thx for the idea.

[name]Lavender[/name] is pleasant and very usable, but personally my love goes to [name]Lilac[/name]. [name]Lavender[/name] does have that -er ending without being a dull occupational name, though.

[name]Lilou[/name] and [name]Lilo[/name] are a bit too cute for me, but I do like -o ending names ([name]Juno[/name], [name]Margaux[/name]) so [name]Lilo[/name] is kinda interesting despite myself. I like just simple [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Lia[/name] more though. Is [name]Lia[/name] called [name]Lilo[/name] a possibility?

[name]Lavender[/name] is in the running for my absolute favorite name! I love it!!! [name]Lilou[/name], said like Leeloo, is the name of one of my bunnies because I decided it wasn’t substantial enough for a child. I dislike [name]Lilo[/name].

I love [name]Lavender[/name]. Wonder if my DH would like it. hummmm

Thx for all of the opinions everyone. [name]Lavender[/name]'s definitely my favorite out of the three, but I still like [name]Lilo[/name] and [name]Lilou[/name].

[name]Lilou[/name] is the only [name]Lily[/name] name other than [name]Susannah[/name] I would use. I really like it, but it’s very nicknamish.
