[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! Thanks first and foremost for any opinions. What are your opionions on the name [name_u]Mars[/name_u] for a boy? (My husband is obsessed with space) Also my husbands nickname is LT for his first and middle initial. And would like to keep the “LT” alive! We like [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] aka lil [name_m]Larry[/name_m] but don’t have a T middle name. Any thoughts on [name_u]Mars[/name_u] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]? ![]()
I would go with [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], it will grow with the child better and is a name that can stand the test of time. [name_u]Mars[/name_u] would just appear trendy. It would work in the now with all the parents trying to be cool with unique spellings and unusual names, but that trend will eventually end.
I actually quite like [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. I don’t think it’s trendy, I mean as a name it’s thousands of years old, right? Before it was a planet, [name_u]Mars[/name_u] was a god. Anyway, I think it’s handsome.
I’m not really a fan of [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] but here are some (sort of) space-related middles starting with T:
[name_m]Tycho[/name_m] (Brahe- astronomer)
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] (ok very tangentially space related. It’s the “T” in [name_u]James[/name_u] T. [name_m]Kirk[/name_m])
You also might like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as a first- space related and starts with L. And it’s a pretty cool name. I also like some of the longer forms of [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_u]Lionel[/name_u].
