Layken or Laken??

Help! I’m 38 weeks pregnant and we can’t decide what spelling we like more. Layken or [name_u]Laken[/name_u]? His middle name will be [name_u]Jay[/name_u].

Congratulations!! I hope everything goes smoothly, you must be so excited! My vote goes to [name_u]Laken[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] looks a bit better than Layken [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. Good luck finding your name!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] is unique on it’s on keep this spelling!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is a nice name!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] seems cleaner and crisper of a spelling to me. The y seems unnecessary.

I prefer [name_u]Laken[/name_u], it’s easier spelled and looks better with [name_u]Jay[/name_u].

I would go with [name_u]Laken[/name_u], the additional y seems a waste.

I would choose [name_u]Laken[/name_u]

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] for sure.

Definitely [name_u]Laken[/name_u]. Personally, I would use it only as a middle name. I know opinions were not asked for but names are given to real people that are adults much longer than little ones. I think often people go overboard with this but it is something that needs to be seriously thought about before blessing a person with their name.

Definitely [name_u]Laken[/name_u]. I like it, feels modern without that made up quality.

I assume you’re worried about it being mispronounced like lack-in? It may happen from time to time, but I assume it will be intuitive for most to say it like the word lake.

I think [name_u]Laken[/name_u] has a a nicer “whole” look. The Y in Layken also seems a bit feminine to me.

I definitely prefer [name_u]Laken[/name_u]. I agree the “y” seems unnecessary and it takes the name down a few notches, I think.

I have a friend named [name_u]Laken[/name_u], and she would get the occasional person pronouncing it lack-in, but most got it right. Anyone who did say it wrong would immediately correct themselves because lack-in sounds wrong. I agree that [name_u]Laken[/name_u] is a much better spelling!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is very handsome. Layken looks as though you’re trying a bit too hard to make the name different - sorry!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u]! I’m tired of seeing unnecessary Ys in children’s names.

Definitely [name_u]Laken[/name_u]!

[name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] sounds and looks best! Congratulations

[name_u]Laken[/name_u]! This spelling is worlds classier.

I would definitely go for [name_u]Laken[/name_u] [name_u]Jay[/name_u].
