We are expecting a baby girl next month and thought we had settled on her name: [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f].
But recently thought of the name [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], and its throwing me for a loop…[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]?
The only downside I see to [name_f]Leah[/name_f] is that she has 3 girl cousins that start with L: [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] ([name_u]Lexi[/name_u]), and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. Is this a problem?
But, what are your thoughts? [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f]? Or [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]?
I’d also prefer not to have two names that are extremely common for this generation ([name_u]James[/name_u] is a little more common that I’d hoped, but we did it anyway.)
Not sure where you’re located, but where I am, [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is mega popular. So if that’s a factor for you as you say, I would go with [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. I also get name crushes a lot…they usually go away and I go back to my favourites! [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is very beautiful, and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u] make great siblings.
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]! I just love the name so much, and I totally love the idea of [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. By the way, [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful.
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] rhymes too much! It feels strange to say out loud, for me.
I think [name_u]James[/name_u] is an understated name, and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] feels the same. [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u] are beautiful names together. [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a gorgeous name.
I think both names sound nice with [name_u]James[/name_u]. I personally prefer [name_f]Leah[/name_f] over [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is cute but I feel like I hear it all the time.
If you don’t want an extremely common name, once you add in the additional spellings of each name [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] has been used quite a bit more than [name_f]Leah[/name_f] over the last decade.
I much prefer [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and I think it sounds better with [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. Also based on the number on the popularity list (may depend on where exactly you live of course), [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] may be more popular.
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: Also just to add I think [name_f]Leah[/name_f] is different enough from [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] and the other two names that I don’t think it’s a big deal that they all start with the same letter so if that’s the only hesitation you have I’d say don’t worry about it!
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]! I love the name so much and it sounds so good with [name_f]Joy[/name_f]! Also, for the record, [name_f]Leah[/name_f] is much more common where I am located.
