Leander or Lorne?

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] came out as the obvious leader in my poll of middle names for [name_m]Nash[/name_m], but now I’ve been thinking about [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] as well. Both are honour names, [name_m]Leander[/name_m] from the many Alexanders in my dad’s side of the family, and [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] from my mum’s name [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]. I do slightly prefer [name_u]Lorne[/name_u], but [name_m]Leander[/name_m] sounds a lot better.

Which do you prefer, [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] or [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u]?

[name_m]Leander[/name_m]! It’s such a delightful and versatile name while [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] is very [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] Michaels to me. [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] is super cool!

Definitely [name_m]Leander[/name_m]! [name_m]Nash[/name_m] is so down-to-earth, charming and friendly, and [name_m]Leander[/name_m] is adventurous and whimsical. I’d say they complement each other.

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] is a great first. I love both [name_m]Leander[/name_m] and [name_u]Lorne[/name_u], but while [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] sounds amazing, [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] sounds bizarre.

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] is handsome and adventurous sounding. I imagine a little boy who likes to be active outside.

I don’t think [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] sounds good together.

I like both! I’m drawn to [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] as a name itself. It makes me think of [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] as played by [name_u]Andy[/name_u] Hallett, that beautiful man. [name_f]May[/name_f] he [name_m]RIP[/name_m]. Musical guy, incredible singer. I think of sarcasm, humor, playfulness, and style. Apparently, the name is a variation of [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]! I didn’t know that. I like that it takes after your mom’s name, too.

I like [name_m]Leander[/name_m] for the same reasons that I enjoy [name_m]Evander[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] unless I’m pronouncing it wrong in my head.

With that said, for me, saying [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] is easier than [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u]. I kept going [name_m]Lash[/name_m] [name_m]Neander[/name_m] and [name_m]Lash[/name_m] Norne. I mean, probably because I was going over them a lot to get a feel of it, lol, and they eventually scrambled. I do that sometimes! [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know if it’d be the same for you.

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] flows better

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u]!!

I prefer [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] as a name but… [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] sounds better

I adore the name [name_m]Leander[/name_m] so [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] gets my vote!

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m]! [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] is too wordy (gnash and lorn).

In theory I prefer [name_u]Lorne[/name_u] to [name_m]Leander[/name_m] on its own, but I agree that [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] flows better. [name_m]Nash[/name_m] is a single syllable, so it pairs better with a name that’s two or three syllables than with another one that’s also a single syllable.

I agree that [name_m]Leander[/name_m] sounds better. However, my rule with middle names is honor the person you most want to honor. It sounds like you like the idea of honoring your mom most, so I’d go [name_m]Nash[/name_m] [name_u]Lorne[/name_u].
