I was wondering what all of your least favorite names are. Mine is [name_u]Nikki[/name_u], I don’t understand what the hype is about.
I am not a fan of the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. Maybe its because the name has the word scar in it? I dunno but its always been at the bottom of my list.
Beth, mainly because of what it means in Welsh (what).
Any -leigh, -den/don or lynn , I feel it’s trashy lol and I know quite a few popular names with those endings (right now I think of [name_u]Landon[/name_u])
Definitely [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f]. It’s been my least favorite for years.
Mehetabel, [name_f]Philophrosyne[/name_f], [name_f]Cinnamon[/name_f], [name_f]Cherry[/name_f]…
Eleanor
When I hear [name_f]Brittany[/name_f] I think of “brattny” because of a girl I knew growing up.(Nickname not given by me) The name itself isn’t bad but not my favorite. I don’t particularly like the look of anything “leigh” it feels excessive to me.
Millicent
Most -ley/lee/leigh names, particularly [name_u]Paisley[/name_u], [name_u]Everly[/name_u], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]/Kinsley, and [name_u]Presley[/name_u].
Sort of just an extension of my first point but I’m not super keen on a lot of surname names either, though there’s loads of exceptions to that. (Ones coming to mind that I really dislike are MacKenzie/Mackenzie, [name_u]Collins[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] [name_u]Addison[/name_u], [name_u]Madison[/name_u], and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u].)
Certain nickname names as standalones, like [name_u]Stacy[/name_u], [name_f]Nancy[/name_f], [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].
Combinations of all flower names or all word names like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u].
[name_f]Neveah[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], or any name that’s a word backwards or an acronym of something.
And for no good reason [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Hillary[/name_u], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], and [name_f]Susan[/name_f] (but I like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Susette[/name_f]?)
- [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/leigh/Lynn names ex: [name_f]Kayleigh[/name_f], paislee, raylynn
- virtue names ex: faith, grace, felicity, destiny etc.
- EMMALINE It seems like people mashed up a bunch of common names to make a “unique name”
- Most names that people say are “elegant” and “sophisticated” I tend to not like for no good reason. ex: Geneveive, [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ect.
- [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
- [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
- [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
The three above just seem too “old lady” for me.
This is just my opinion! I’m sure everyone with these names are wonderful people!
Oooh, I don’t like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] either, which is weird because I love the very similar-sounding [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] but it just gives me really bad vibes and I don’t like how it looks or sounds.

[name_u]James[/name_u] (for a girl)
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]

[name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanne[/name_f]
Basically, all of the “old” names that everyone is naming their kids right now.
And I can’t stand the word names that people are using. ([name_u]Truth[/name_u], [name_u]Story[/name_u], etc.)
And the bird and flower names are tacky.
Well there are lots of names that I don’t like.
But out of the names seen commonly on here I would have to say [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
I like the sound of the name and the spelling [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] but with the [name_f]Margot[/name_f] spelling I only see the word Maggot and I cannot get past it!
All the -[name_u]Ayden[/name_u] names. They come up SOOOOOO often in where I live and honestly I’m tired of them. (The names, not the people)
