We like the names [name]Leland[/name] (probably would use NN [name]Lee[/name] at least sometimes) and [name]Grant[/name] as possible boy names. Would [name]Leland[/name] ([name]Lee[/name]) and [name]Grant[/name] be too weird because of the Civil War association? Another question: [name]Grant[/name] Gross (Gross is our surname)- Is this name too abrupt?
Possible girl names we like include:
[name]Annabelle/name/[name]Charlotte/name/[name]Elizabeth/name/[name]Amelia/name
Any opinions are welcome. We will begin our TTC journey within the next few months, just dreaming about future names! Side note- My husband also loves the name [name]Walker[/name] for a boy. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated! Thanks for any feedback
Yeah, I wouldnât use [name]Lee[/name] and [name]Grant[/name] as sibling names.
I thought maybe since it was a [name]Leland[/name] and nickname [name]Lee[/name] we could get by with it
thanks for the suggestion.
I think you could get away with it if you were calling him [name]Leland[/name]. I would still make the connection, but the âlandâ might throw most people off.
Yeah, I think those are a little too associated with the Civil War when put together. I would shay away from [name]Grant[/name] if I were you. While I appreciate your taste in short, strong menâs names, [name]Grant[/name] Gross is pretty abrupt. I know some Grosses and the one syllable first name does work on occassion, but the double âgrâ makes it really harsh and staccato.
It is too bad since we like [name]Grant[/name] so much, might be nice for a middle name. My husband is [name]Jake[/name] and father in law [name]Jeff[/name], while the names they go by are one syllable, they arenât as harsh. [name]Leland[/name] is very meaningful to us because of my late grandfather, so looking for something that will go nicely with [name]Leland[/name]/[name]Lee[/name]
[name]Leland[/name] and [name]Griffin[/name]?
