Leif or Malachi?

I have a [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], and [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]

I love that [name_m]Leif[/name_m] is more unusual and has a nature feel but dont like the high pitch softer sound. It also has no nick name but not sure if my other kids will even use their nick names much so it might not matter. But if they do roscoe is sometimes called rocky, and rocky and leif sounds silly. But [name_m]Leif[/name_m] would be for a grandpa [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and the middle name would me [name_m]Immanuel[/name_m] which would sort of be for my husband daniel as it sounds alike. I also like the meaning. “[name_m]Son[/name_m] of” “God with us” especially for a [name_u]December[/name_u] baby.

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] has a stronger sound and a nice nick name of [name_u]Kai[/name_u], but is much more common. Being a classic Bible name I could deal with that, except [name_u]Kai[/name_u] as a name has been jumping up in popularity lately which bothers me. The middle name would be [name_m]Leif[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Leif[/name_m] matches the sibset more but I really love [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] in general. It’s underused and has such a cool sound.

Leif is my favorite out of the two. I love it with your children’s names.

Although [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] is my favorite, I’m getting a feeling that [name_m]Leif[/name_m] might be your favorite, and it would be great with your other kids!

I love [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]!

Felicity, [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], and [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]: what a great set of names!

Neither [name_m]Leif[/name_m] nor [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] fit with those in my mind, but I think sibset matchings are overrated anyway. And [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is quite delicate and [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] quite sturdy and [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] somewhere in between, so I think either is fine.

Malachi does seem the most different from the others. Whereas [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_m]Leif[/name_m] have an airy quality to them and [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] is zesty and [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] is sophisticated, [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] sounds, well, what it is, Biblical.
