Leighton for a girl?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] could work on a girl? When I think of [name_u]Leighton[/name_u], I think of a boy called [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] I know and then, of course, of [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] Meester.

[name_f]My[/name_f] sister had it on her list for when she was pregnant with a boy (she didn’t call him [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] in the end) which has also made me stuck! I want to add it to my list but I’m not sure if it could work for a girl. :frowning:

Any thoughts? Could it?

I knew a boy named [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] growing up, but I think it’s one of those names that could work either way. I say if you like it then go for it!
