Uh, I like [name]Berry[/name]!
I like [name]Lemon[/name] the best, probably because one of my faves at the moment are [name]Lennon[/name]!!
~[name]Jasmine[/name]
I don’t think either of them are suitable as first names. [name]Lemon[/name] is a common slang word where I’m from for being a third wheel ie. “I was standing there like a lemon!”. [name]Both[/name] could make interesting middle names though. [name]Berry[/name] is definitely more wearable than lemon.
[name]Lemon[/name] is more feminine. [name]Berry[/name] just reminds of [name]Barry[/name] - blah!
Pie? [name]Berry[/name]
As a name? neither.
I heard [name]Lemon[/name] used on the TV show [name]Hart[/name] of [name]Dixie[/name] and around the same time I was reading a book where the main character’s middle name was [name]Berry[/name], I’m a sucker for names that are unusual, and as these are both fall into the edibles category I began to wonder how they’d be received.
[name]Berry[/name] sounds fine to me but [name]Lemon[/name] would be harder I think. Nice as a flavour/colour, but a bit clunky and also UK slang for something akin to ‘doofus’ - as in, ‘don’t be a lemon!’. Or maybe that’s just me/my area/my colleagues!
Ditto this. Unless it’s lemon meringue!
I wouldn’t use either name for a first name. [name]Berry[/name] would be ok in the middle spot. [name]Lemon[/name] is not a fave. In [name]Canada[/name], if you purchase a used car that breaks down after you drive it off the lot, people will tell you that “you bought a lemon”.
I think a lot of times TV shows and books trick us into liking names that are just a little bit too quirky. You have to remember that she’s not an actual girl called [name]Lemon[/name]. I went through a phase loving the name “[name]Cricket[/name]” I think it’s an adorable nickname still but I think most people will agree that they enjoy having “people names” - Names that people would sooner associate with a person than an object. Nothing wrong with either as a middle name though, I think!
[name]Just[/name] to make it clear neither of the names are actually on my potential names list, nor would they ever make it. I just think they’re fun.
I would be afraid of the child being ridiculed on the playground. Kids are mean. Edit: Didn’t see your post ^^ I like Lemon out of the two as just a fun name. It’s cute.
I don’t like either, but if I were pressed to choose I’d pick [name]Lemon[/name]. However, I would never put them together. [name]Lemon[/name] [name]Berry[/name] sounds like a muffin or something! If you want to go the fruit route, maybe you could go with something a little less obvoius, like [name]Clementine[/name] or [name]Plum[/name], or translate it into another language, like [name]Citron[/name] or [name]Cerise[/name] (lemon and cherry in French).
I dislike both as names, [name]Berry[/name] I’d handle in the middle though.
I don’t like either as names, but i picked berry since you said middle name for that one
I didn’t vote cause I don’t think either are suitable in the fn spot.
I think I lean toward [name]Berry[/name] cause at least they aren’t sour like a [name]Lemon[/name].
Please don’t use [name]Lemon[/name]. [name]Berry[/name] I think would be fine as a middle name, but please don’t use [name]Lemon[/name] it’s… fruity (pun intended) and not to mention like the posts above me it is a slang word as well.
I love [name]Berry[/name], but only as a MN. I recently talked to someone who met a little girl named [name]Berry[/name], actually, which I was happy about, but I wouldn’t have the guts to go through with it.
I recently bought my first car, and if I had gone with my second choice, I would have named her [name]Clementine[/name], probably nn [name]Lemon[/name]. haha. I’ve named laptops/cars/etc. [name]Eva[/name] (“life”), [name]Sarah[/name] (“princess”), [name]Lucia[/name] (“light”), etc. and they all inevitably break (and way too fast, if you ask me, lol), so I thought if [name]Eva[/name] didn’t live very long than maybe [name]Lemon[/name] would last me a lifetime. It was wishful thinking, haha, but I think [name]Clementine[/name] nn [name]Lemon[/name] is pretty cool, actually.
