Lena or Millie?

I’m loving the name [name_f]Milena[/name_f] lately. I can’t decide which nickname, [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lena[/name_f], is cuter! Please reply with your favourite and maybe a reason why?
[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Millie[/name_f]

[name_f]Millie[/name_f]! I like old fashioned nicknames like that. [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is pretty too and sounds a bit sexy, more grown up (like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] Headey).

Oooh, so torn! My best friend’s name was [name_f]Millie[/name_f], so it holds a lot of positive memories for me (also lots of sadness, since her passing), but I’ve always LOVED [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. Would you say [name_f]Lena[/name_f] like [name_u]LEE[/name_u]-nah? [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah? LEH-nah? I’ve always said [name_f]Milena[/name_f] as mih-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah, so I would assume [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-nah, but I think most Americans would read [name_f]Lena[/name_f] like [name_f]Lina[/name_f]/[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-nah, although I’m not sure where you’re from? I think I’d personally go for [name_f]Lena[/name_f] because I think it’s adorable on a little girl, spunky on a teen, and refined on an adult. I would love to meet, know or have a [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. I like the sound of [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and how cute it is, but I don’t think I could personally do it yet–even after five years, missing her is still too strong. Then again, I’m not sure I could use any of the names of the girls/women dear to my heart who have passed too early, but especially [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. [name_f]Milena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is pretty adorable, though.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m sure it was and still is tough to go through, having lost people very close to me as well.
To answer your questions, no, I do not live in [name_u]America[/name_u]. I live in [name_f]Canada[/name_f], and until now I’ve pronounced it mil-LEH-na (no, although I am Canadian, I don’t pronounce ‘eh’ as ‘ay’) although mil-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-na is so lovely! I love the suggestion.

I love [name_f]Millie[/name_f] (cute) and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] (sexy), though I am not wild about [name_f]Milena[/name_f].
