What do you think of [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]?? [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nuh Ee-layne. Would [name_f]Lena[/name_f] be pronounced correctly?
If you don’t like it, what other names that start with a “L” goes with the middle name [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. It’s so sleek, feminine and multicultural-sounding. But it has almost the exact same sounds as [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]. They don’t work together at all, because they just sound like sound-anagrams of each other.
I know two [name_f]Lena[/name_f]'s and both pronounce like you said [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nuh. So I think that would be fine! But I also agree with PP that [name_f]Lena[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] does not go…they are way too close in sound in my opinion.
Why not just go w/[name_f]Elena[/name_f]–an actual name that contains both, then you can still pick a first name (I see [name_f]Elena[/name_f] as a mn, since it’s kind of plain–like [name_f]Lena[/name_f] & [name_f]Elaine[/name_f])?
[name_m]Aren[/name_m]'t both essentially the same name? From what I understand, [name_f]Lena[/name_f] is a diminutive of names with [name_f]Lena[/name_f]… Like [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Milena[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], etc. Most of those are variants of [name_f]Helen[/name_f], as is [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]. I see it like naming your daughter [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
What about…
[name_f]Laura[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorelai[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorena[/name_f]
[name_f]Larissa[/name_f]
