[name]Do[/name] these sound as if they go together to you?
This is purely hypothetical - I don’t have any children and won’t be having any for a while. These are just my current favorite boys’ names, and I was curious as to how other people thought they sounded in a set. I don’t think that [name]Leo[/name] or [name]Jasper[/name] are too out there, but I’m a bit concerned that [name]Thomas[/name] may seem a bit too normal next to them.
I think [name]Leo[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Thomas[/name] are a lovely trio! [name]Thomas[/name] does seem a bit normal, but I think it has the same feel as [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name]… I think if he went by [name]Thomas[/name], not [name]Tom[/name], that would add a level of spark to the name that just [name]Tom[/name] doesn’t have, imo.
I think [name]Leo[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Thomas[/name] are a fine trio! I don’t think [name]Thomas[/name] is plain, just a little more common than the other three. In all honesty though, I know more children named [name]Leo[/name] than [name]Thomas[/name].
[name]Thomas[/name] does seem to have a more timeless quality to it, whereas [name]Leo[/name] was once rather popular, then fell out of favor somewhat, and now seems to be experiencing a resurgence. [name]Leo[/name] definitely seems like a name that might end up being a bit dated to this time period, which is a problem that [name]Thomas[/name] wouldn’t have. Regardless, I still love [name]Leo[/name]. I think that it’ll only become more popular, but I can’t find it in myself to be bothered by that which is really unusual for me, so I know that I love it.
Part of the reason that I like [name]Thomas[/name] is that it’s shown up in my family tree many times both as as surname and a first name, which is a quality that another version of [name]Thomas[/name] wouldn’t have.
I suppose there’s the possibility of using [name]Tam[/name] instead of [name]Tom[/name], which is apparently apparently a Scottish nickname. I’m undecided as to how much I like [name]Tam[/name]. What do you guys think of it?
My son is [name]Thomas[/name] – a name in my family for 12 generations – so I’m always in favour of the name. I’ve always liked [name]Tom[/name], which was my grandfather’s name – but [name]Tam[/name] (for Tammas) is a cool variation, especially when you think of the legend of [name]Tam[/name] [name]Lin[/name]. (I prefer [name]Pamela[/name] [name]Dean[/name]'s version of the [name]Tam[/name] [name]Lin[/name] story.) There’s also the Scottish alternative [name]Tavish[/name].
[name]Leo[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Thomas[/name] are great together. You rarely meet a baby [name]Thomas[/name] nowadays, so I would find it quite refreshing with brothers named [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name].
