Leo Matthias?

WDYT of this combo? It originally intrigued me, but I put it to the side, but I came across it today and thought it might have some merit! I had been trying out [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] for a while, which I had really liked, but I can’t not see Supernatural, and, since I haven’t watched the show (and couldn’t get more than 4 minutes into the pilot, because it sort of spooked me out), I can’t have any way of knowing whether or not I’d like [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] as a character or not (even though I really love his name!), so I’m slowly starting to look at other options. WDYT of [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m]? Any other options that have a similar feel to this, or maybe [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]? I saw [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] on someone else’s thread and instantly loved it, but I don’t want to steal combos from anybody.

I think something in similar vein to [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] or [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] would be the type of feel I was going for, with [name_m]Leo[/name_m], though.

Thanks, Berries!

I know a little one online! [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I see the combo in his moms signature I love it. I’m not even a fan of [name_m]Matthias[/name_m], but I absolutely adore it with [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. It just fits so well and I like it for you.

[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Cassius[/name_m]

It is very distinguished. It has a very classic sound, like a character from literature, but it is also unique and spunky. I like it!

I love it. But I think you might say [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] differently than me. I say it kind of to rhyme with [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]. But if you say it with a TEE sound, I like the combo slightly less because of the [name_u]Lee[/name_u]- tee syllables. In which case I’d prefer [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m].

I still love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] tho! I don’t know anything about Supernatural. This combo and [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] strike me as very you, from what I know. you could always replace [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] too. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] seem like they belong together [name_f]IMO[/name_f], and I love the 3 name combo.

Thanks, everyone!

@ikfly - I liked some of those (particularly [name_m]Simeon[/name_m], [name_m]Julius[/name_m], and [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m]–I love [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], but I already have him paired with [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], and I don’t love [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] quite so much), and I had been thinking of something with a “C” or “B” or “S” or “R”–something with a more earthy/Atlantic [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] sort of color/vibe, which “S” and “R” names so often do for me, but I can’t help think that they don’t seem to match up to [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m], which is really growing on me! It wasn’t what I was thinking I was looking for at all, but, at the same time, it has the same personality of the little [name_m]Leo[/name_m] I’ve been imagining in my head, and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m] is really charming me right now! It feels like it could be “it”!

@emsky - yes indeed! I use the [name_m]German[/name_m] pronunciation, mah-TEE-uhs. I used to say mah-THIGH-us, but with the research I’ve been doing for my novel set in Germany, I’ve fallen for the [name_m]German[/name_m] pronunciation. I’ve been sort of worried about the [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-Tee thing, but it doesn’t sound too bad to me, so, though I notice it, it doesn’t bother me too much. And och, I know. I think it’s so aesthetically great, and even in sound, but when I posted about [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] I got such strong Supernatural reactions that I thought it probably wasn’t the best choice. Besides, I don’t like using names from pop culture if I can help it, so [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] was a pretty big stretch for me, to begin with. It’s definitely become a GP, though! And I’m glad you can see me use either combo, as they’re both very close to my heart! I’m pretty picky about [name_m]Leo[/name_m] with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], even though I did [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] that it honored my grandpa (his name/initials were L. B.). Maybe I’ll keep mulling over [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], but I think it’s more of a GP combo than an actual combo I’d really use for a future son.

Any other opinions are welcome!

Nice! I love it.
