Leon -- WDYT?

Personally I don’t find [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m], [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m], or [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] to be very wearable, although they are all incredible names. I just find them a little too foreign/dated.

In contrast I find [name_m]Leon[/name_m] (and maybe [name_m]Leander[/name_m]) much more accessible.

What are your thoughts on these “[name_m]Leo[/name_m]” NN names and what are your thoughts on [name_m]Leon[/name_m] in particular?

Can you think of any other names?

Thanks!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Leon[/name_m]…or [name_m]Leon[/name_m]'s, more precisely. It was my favorite monster-sized greasy cheeseburger and onion ring joint when I was a kid. I think it closed, but long live the name!

I love leon. It was my grandfathers name and i named my boy leo

I really like [name_m]Leon[/name_m]! Much more than [name_m]Leo[/name_m].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and all the [name_m]Leo[/name_m] variations. I was so sad when I saw it was becoming popular.

I find [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] to be quite usable hipster choices where I live.

I prefer [name_m]Leo[/name_m] to [name_m]Leon[/name_m], but it’s nice. I think [name_m]Levon[/name_m] is intriguing too.

Thanks for all the feedback!

I love leon it’s the only one of the [name_m]Leo[/name_m] names I like

I really like [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and none of the other [name_m]Leo[/name_m]- names for boys. I’m sad it’s unusable with my husband’s surname, so I would love to meet a little [name_m]Leon[/name_m].

I agree and i love it.

I really like [name_m]Leon[/name_m]! Using [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as a nickname is an option, but it’s short enough to use the full name as well. Pronunciation might get tricky between [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-on and [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-ohn for Spanish speakers though

There is a [name_m]Leon[/name_m] who attends our Church service, nice guy, has kids he brings, I immediatly thought good name, nice guy. He carpools with my parents ( yes there are 4 generations of my family on [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] ) so I hear it a lot. I prefer it to [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Levon[/name_m].

I adore the name [name_m]Leon[/name_m]. In fact I really am over [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and think that [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is a great alternative. It’s a bit short for my liking in names (most of which are 2 syllables or more) but… I have [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] on my list and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is the only acceptable nn in my book. lol.

I think [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and [name_u]Lionel[/name_u]/[name_m]Leonel[/name_m] are both really approachable versions of this name and definitely should be considered more often!!!

[name_m]Leon[/name_m] is so overwhelmigly popular in Germany that i just stopped liking it. Though i did, like couple of years ago.
