Leonardo?

[name_m]Ive[/name_m] found out that both my great grandad and great great grandad went by [name_m]Leonard[/name_m]. [name_m]Ive[/name_m] always liked [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] so could either of thise work as honour names instead of [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] which i really dont like?

I like [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] the best.

Definitely! Any [name_m]Leo[/name_m]- name sounds like it would work to honor your loved ones.

I created a thread about [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] years ago and received mostly positive feedback. I still like, and [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] is also nice. They both work very well.

Anything [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Lion[/name_m] related would work.

[name_u]Ari[/name_u]
[name_m]Laith[/name_m]
[name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_m]Leno[/name_m]

and for girls,

[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariella[/name_f]
[name_f]Leonie[/name_f]

and I know its not what you asked for but when I think of [name_m]Leo[/name_m]/[name_m]Lion[/name_m] related names I think of [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. Like the half lion mythological creature.

I like both [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] and both can honor [name_m]Leonard[/name_m]. As other have pointed out, pretty much any [name_m]Leo[/name_m]- name can.

[name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] or [name_m]Leonid[/name_m] would be wonderful. A few years back I had 5 Leonardos, all little di Caprios!

I am planning on honouring a [name_m]Leonard[/name_m] with [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m]

I think both [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] work to honour a [name_m]Leonard[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m] especially. He’s strong, handsome, adventurous, and intelligent sounding.
