Leonie and/or Noemi?

I’ve had [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] on my list for a while now (probably #1 option if baby due in [name_f]September[/name_f] is a girl), and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] has been growing on me… Are they too similar to use as sibling names? They have completely different roots, but I feel like a lot of the sounds are similar. Especially because my nickname option for [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] was going to be [name_f]Nonie[/name_f], and for [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] I’d probably want to go with [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] because we already have an [name_f]Emi[/name_f] in my extended family, so obviously the nicknames would change if I did end up using both… Also is it weird that they end in the same sound, but one is an -ie and one is just an -i? My aunts all have names ending in the same sound with different spellings (-ie, -e, -y, -i) and I always thought it was interesting, but not too weird. Another option could be [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] more for some reason…

Anyway, thoughts? Thanks!

Much, much, much prefer [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]!

I think they’re too similar for sibling names, especially with the nicknames you might use.
I prefer [name_f]Leonie[/name_f].

Too similar for siblings. I prefer [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] but I really like both.

[name_f]Leonie[/name_f] is much nicer, in my opinion. I do agree that they are a little too similar for a sibset. Lenoa would be better if you really want to use [name_f]Noemi[/name_f], yes.

The nicknames would be too similar, but the full names don’t bug me for sisters. I prefer [name_f]Leona[/name_f], though, and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] would be even better together.

There’s something about [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] that I really love.

Thanks everyone! I think I will most likely just stick with [name_f]Leonie[/name_f], maybe I’ll add [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] to my potential middles list for another name? [name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] maybe? Anyway, thanks for all your help!
