[name_m]Hi[/name_m],
I’ve been away for so long!
Anyway, what do you all think of [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]? I love it, it’s so pretty and feminine.
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] xx
I heard it recently and I really like it.
I like it! It’s much prettier than [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] imo.
I think it’s pretty striking! However, I’m really partial to [name_f]Leona[/name_f]. I love it! ([name_f]Leonie[/name_f] is cool, too.) Another variant is [name_f]Leora[/name_f], which is neat as well. I think [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is on the verge of veering into clunky territory (it isn’t there yet, unlike cousin [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]/[name_f]Eleonora[/name_f]), whereas [name_f]Leona[/name_f] rolls off the tongue.
Agree any of the above have more sparkle than [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] these days. Also might like [name_f]Annora[/name_f].
We had a quite notorious princess named [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] (Ulfeldt) once, so [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is a pretty well-known name here.
I really like it. Our pronunciation is different from the English pronunciation, we pronounce it LEH-OH-no-rah (what a creepy voice though) rather than [name_f]LEAH[/name_f]-nora or [name_m]LAY[/name_m]-ah-nora, and I much prefer our pronunciation.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name! If I ever have a daughter she will be [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] :-). I think it’s feminine and elegant and still pretty uncommon where I live. I also love that it’s a bit of an “old lady” name :-).
I like it a lot, but prefer [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Lenore[/name_f].
[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is very pretty. It’s a feminine name but I don’t find it overly frilly. It would be a memorable choice.
Very pretty.
