[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]?
I also like previous suggestions of [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], However maybe you need to have a shortlist and wait until little one arrives? Maybe then the name will jump out at you a bit more!
With the new style of name (not biblical) you suggested, I think [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] would work well as a middle name. Some of the ones you have liked-
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Camden[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Holden[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
I love long list so there’s no problem!
I don’t really like [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and how popular it has gotten for girls.
I like [name_m]Asher[/name_m], but it’s too close yo my own name ([name_u]Ashley[/name_u]).I like many of the names you’ve suggested, but once again, many of them are already taken.
I’ll think some more about [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Soren[/name_m] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]/Sorin would actually be a good fit for us, will have to talk with my husband about it!
Thought of a few more based on what you liked from the last few lists…
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_m]Coen[/name_m]
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]
[name_m]Garth[/name_m]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u]
[name_m]Warner[/name_m]
[name_m]Clifton[/name_m] (not sure if -ton names are bad with your surname like -ston names are; probably, but I like this one )
[name_m]Prescott[/name_m]
[name_m]Hartigan[/name_m]
[name_m]Weaver[/name_m]
[name_u]Colby[/name_u]
[name_u]Connelly[/name_u]
[name_m]Gage[/name_m]
[name_u]Leland[/name_u]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m]
[name_m]Linus[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
I like [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] a lot better than [name_m]Josiah[/name_m]. I also like some of the names suggested earlier: [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]. What about [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]?
Thanks for all the amazing suggestions! I will go through them all when I have some more time. But I don’t like [name_m]Linus[/name_m] or [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], and while I think [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] is a nice name I can’t see myself using it. And yes, -ton names are no good with our surname. It’s Johnstone by the way, nothing too secret about that.
As I mentioned earlier we never really planned on using a Swedish/Scandinavian name. I’m quite in love with Sorin/[name_m]Soren[/name_m] and [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] at the moment though. [name_m]Just[/name_m] takes some time to get used to these more international spellings. My husband quite liked [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], [name_m]Warren[/name_m] and [name_u]Walker[/name_u] as well.
I actually just got back from a 3 day roadtrip of southern [name_u]Sweden[/name_u] and one of the stops were Karlskrona. Haha, everybody loves Liseberg, but if you live in Gothenburg you don’t go there as often. [name_m]Just[/name_m] like you I’m also more drawn to American/English names, I want my kids to have unique names but not unheard off. I like the fact that my name; [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] isn’t that common in [name_u]Sweden[/name_u], only about a 1000 women are named that. It made me feel unique and not be one of the many Annas or Emmas.
You could continue with the tradition, giving them a Swedish middle name could make their name feel a bit more special.
I love the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] by the way! That sounds like a great plan, then you and your kids will have something special that your husband can’t be a part of, if he doesn’t learn Swedish that is.
