I think [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is such a handsome name. I’m almost embarrassed to mention it to anyone as a possible name for a baby bc I get silence and strange looks. Am I crazy? Am I missing something?
Follow up question. Clarence nn Renzo? Would that make sense?
Other than Clancy, what are nns for Clarence?

I’m sorry.
It’s unfortunate that others can’t see the appeal of [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] – yet. But they will. [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is bound to follow old-fashioned revivals like [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] back into style. You’re just ahead of the curve. Take advantage of that! I think [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is a great name!

I really like it! It has a charming vintage vibe. Why would it be crazy? It’s just not fashionable - yet

I actually really like [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. It has elegance and grandeur and I love the nn [name_u]Clancy[/name_u]

It would be old fashioned sounding where I live. But you’re not crazy! I can see why you call it handsome.

I love [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]! [name_m]Renzo[/name_m] works ok. [name_f]Clarrie[/name_f] can be a nn.
Renzo might be a stretch, especially when I have a son named [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] named after a [name_m]Renzo[/name_m].

I love [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. I agree - many people won’t see the appeal. But most names become appreciated again at some point, so [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] will get the attention he deserves!
[name_m]Renzo[/name_m] makes sense! I also like [name_f]Clary[/name_f] or [name_u]Ren[/name_u]
It’s a very nice name but I don’t love it’s nicknames. I actually really like [name_u]Clare[/name_u], but I’d be worried about teasing.
I have always loved [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] notwithstanding.
Clare, [name_f]Clary[/name_f], [name_f]Air[/name_f], [name_u]Ren[/name_u], [name_m]Renzo[/name_m], [name_m]Enzo[/name_m].
We had a beautiful sweet Siamese called [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] and I think of It’s a Wonderful Life too.
Not crazy! [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] is a love name
I like it! For me the favourites out of the rence ending names are [name_m]Terrence[/name_m] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]
Yeah, not crazy about [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], but I think more [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] the [name_u]Angel[/name_u]

I like Rence names too. For me, [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] is my preference over [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] (too [name_m]Larry[/name_m] sounding which I don’t like) but out all together as I have a [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]

What about [name_m]Clark[/name_m]??? [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] nn [name_m]Clark[/name_m]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] do I get on board with [name_u]Clancy[/name_u]. It’s kind of cute. [name_m]Clark[/name_m] is a GP name
I like both but for me [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] had the edge because of the nickname [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
Oh that is a cool draw to that version.

I’m using [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] as a middle for our third (TTC from.next month) ends up being a boy most probably. It’s a name in our family and I just think it’s great.
Clarence has been on my list for a while. I think it’s lovely.
I’m pretty sure there’s a [name_u]Berry[/name_u] with a little [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] “[name_u]Ren[/name_u]”, I just can’t remember who it is rn. I adore [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], I think it’s so handsome and I’m sorry you’ve not had a positive reaction to it irl. Nn [name_m]Renzo[/name_m] works! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nn is [name_u]Clarry[/name_u] (pronounced like [name_u]Harry[/name_u] with a “Cl”), and I like [name_m]Clay[/name_m] too.
