I’ve made a few posts here about girl names which seem to be the most difficult for me to stockpile. We’re a few years away from TTC but I’m an over preparer lol. Plus I’m a name nerd like most if not ALL of you! I struggle to pick things out of long lists so if you could suggest 1-6 names that’d be SOO helpful!
So connection to [name_u]Nature[/name_u]/Earthier/Natural names but as @amostactually put it “Earthy and gentle, with familiar but not overused names. [name_m]Even[/name_m] the names that don’t have nature meanings feel very natural.”
So far girls names I love: [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (#1 would likely use even if it got relatively more popular than it is now with the nn [name_u]June[/name_u] especially with the mn [name_f]Frances[/name_f]/Norah) [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Robin[/name_u] (I’d use this on a boy as well! Totally Unisex to me) [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f](nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]/Wyn) [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Raina[/name_f]/Rayna
So I’d love to fall in love with some new names! [name_f]My[/name_f] SO prefers names that are somewhat recognizable and isn’t in love with word names (outside of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] I got the ok bc it’s an honor name for [name_u]June[/name_u]).
Love [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] not as much as [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] so Idk if it’s popularity throws me off or not
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]- This is one of those names I want to love, which [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] used to be on this list so it might come around!!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Willow[/name_u] too but too popular/SO veto’d
Crushing on [name_f]Alice[/name_f]!!
Heather- maybe it’s dated, but I think it fits the vibe
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
@Greyblue I looooove [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] but it would be difficult to use here in the US because of pronunciation and I don’t want to use a Cornish name that isn’t pronounced correctly! I’m liking [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] its fresh sounding!
@almostactually my mom’s cousin (I just call her my aunt) is named [name_f]Heather[/name_f]! I’ve always loved this name. I’ll have to put it on the list maybe as a middle? Also LOVE [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] with the nn [name_u]Del[/name_u]! Thank you!
@RescuePuPs234 I know a little [name_u]Aspen[/name_u]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] turned two. So cute. Thank you!
@rhodes2nowhere Thank you!! I actually really like [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]. I don’t know if my SO would approve but i’ll stow it away just in case
@acajou LOVE [name_f]Vera[/name_f]! I’ll have to keep my eye on it. I know a few little [name_f]Vera[/name_f]’s but if it doesn’t get to popular I really like it Thank you!
@lialia Ugh [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] is a GP for me. I don’t think SO would approve but I have hope! I also really like [name_f]Summer[/name_f]. Thank you!
@VioletMoon [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] is one my SO suggested awhile back. I really like it and totally forgot! Thanks for the refresher. I also love [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] but I worry season names like this would be too common. Thank you!
@Strawberry.Bunny Another vote for [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! Thank you. Again just doesn’t feel right here in the US. Maybe it’s more wearable in the UK! I do like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. Thank you!
@may.rose I tried to get [name_f]Clover[/name_f] in the mix back in [name_u]March[/name_u]. [name_f]My[/name_f] SO thinks it sounds too much like a pet name [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Willow[/name_u]! I wish it wasn’t so popular. Maybe it’ll cool down in the next few years but doubtful. I love [name_u]Sage[/name_u] but sadly a person ruined it for me. Thank you so much!
