Let's Make up Some Names Shall We?

Several names are made up. I think it would be fun to make some ourselves! I’m super interested to see what you all come up with! (If you are stuck it helps to think of a common short name and add on to it)

Joanette. A bit of [name_u]Joan[/name_u], a bit of [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f] :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I added Elysiana to my list today. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a fancier form of [name_f]Elysia[/name_f].

Merinne? I randomly thought of it but sounds like a mix of [name_f]Merry[/name_f] and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]!

Laurence’s mention of Elysiana made me think of Evaliana.
Susaphina, a mash of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]
Persophelia, a mash of [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Calentine? I was thinking of [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] with a different first later and I like this one
Palyria, not exactly made up since it’s a word name, but it’s the Greek word for tide! pah-LEE-ree-ah
Nepheline - [name_f]Nephele[/name_f] with an -ine ending

Thomothy (if this was real I’d really like it)
Calfred, Calbur, Calford AKA [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m], [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilford[/name_m] but with [name_u]Cal[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Wil[/name_m]
Maxfred
Finnedict, [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] with [name_u]Finn[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Ben[/name_m]

Cordelaide combines two of my favorites but sounds like a medicinal cream

I remember once making the name Astre. I think that it is a decent unisex name.

Alysandria is so elegant and has a beautiful exotic sound

Thank you! I thought it was funny that some of the names I “made up” were actual names

When I was little (name nerd since birth), I would always “make up” names that are absolutely established. I made up [name_u]Laurel[/name_u], and [name_f]Jenna[/name_f], and [name_f]Jessa[/name_f], and then was very put out to discover somebody had beaten me to it.

This sounds like Solangelo…
I think that if Solangelo wasn’t a ship, it would be a good “made up” name.

I came up with Eliadne. Pronounced similarly to [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f], it’s an almost anagram of [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].

I’ve always quite liked Lucillia and, when I first encountered the name [name_f]Proserpina[/name_f], I mistook it for Prosperina (like a feminisation of [name_m]Prosper[/name_m]), which I ended up liking quite a bit!

Adelilah, Winevra and Cordelise
